Foster money is the new Versatis.

Just apply a little money to the pain.

Is there going to be anyone at all on giving an opposing views?

An argument like for example something like the money should not be so high that it becomes the main incentive for adopting children. It should not be a profit making business or a job.

Do these people not realise that they're rapidly losing the dressing room?

I had more respect for foster parents at the start of this week and far less now.

ah here we go. they are jealous of the money the residential care facilities are getting

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,921 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

The "child" is no longer a child...they are 18 and they still give you 300 euro a week to live with you ....

She is obsessed with what they would "get" for a child in a residential home...but it's not about the money of course...

How much extra to the nearest €10 do they believe the are entitled to?

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,960 ✭✭✭✭Busi_Girl08

I don't understand. Did she want to keep getting paid after the child came of age?

  • If they are “normal” and 18 they don’t need specialised “residential care” that costs €1000 per day.

"People can hear the caring in your voice". Lol

The **** thing is I know of a few amazing parents who fostered dozens of kids over the years and were absolute warriors, loving each one as their own, not one word on money, until they retired. These people on moaning are giving those foster parents a bad name.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,921 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

And they were going to give her 300 euro a week if the "child" who was 18+ if they were still there.

So childrens allowance on top of the €325? I've heard it all now so to speak.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,921 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

Joe why don't you pay more tax to help instead of being registered as a contractor behind a PLC to minimise every cent you pay in tax?!?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,975 ✭✭✭NeinNeinNein

Sick pay and maternity leave for fosterers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,921 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

They get it after 6 months it was mentioned yday I think

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,062 ✭✭✭Mena Mitty

So €350 plus €300 aftercare (tax free, means test free ?)...Nice little earner in some quarters sotospeak. Some foster carers have 2 children or 3 children in their care. I can see why the first words outta their mouth is we don't do it for the money.

Had this one 4 or 5 children at the same time ?? Kerching !!

The ads telling us to put on a coat when it's cold out are coming any day.

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,921 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

    Yeah that is seriously misleading.

"I am going to play this WhatsApp voicemail that has just come in"

    BS!

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,640 ✭✭✭✭2smiggy

they are getting about €1500 tax free per calendar month per child including the children's allowance. There are plenty of people earning ~€2000 per month working full time after tax ...

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,921 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

    Along with

    "Don't play in traffic"

    "Don't eat glass"

An Ad to tell you to keep the air in your tires...ffs!

This reminds me of the nurses, we're striking not because of pay, it's because of the long waiting lists and people on trolleys, get the pay rise and everything is okay 👍 now

Given the average age of Joe's fans and their lack of IT skills, I'd say a lot of the voicenotes come in sounding like they were recorded through a duvet
