Nunez’s first touch really is a bit of a lottery. Some good. Some terrible. Puts himself about right enough.

HT. Absolutely zero quality on show from Rangers, as expected, and while we've at least looked energetic, at least more than of late, we've not taken a firm grip of our chances, with far too many straight at the keeper. Poor finishing all in all.

Rangers giving us space behind for Nunez to run onto. And when he does he looks good. Premier league teams don't give us that space in behind but we could probably create it by dropping the high line which compresses our play..just a taught because the timing of his runs look pretty good

Should be out of sight. Great performance in general but poor in front of goal. Ref is strange- a couple of clear corners and throw ins not given.

Napoli winning at Ajax. Looks like it will be difficult to win the group after the doing we took over in Naples. Even beating Napoli at Anfield might not be enough.

First 45, 70% possession, forcing 8 corners, good spells of passing and a nice variation at times - 2 over the top from Hendo in prticular. A goal up, Nunez should have scored 1 or 2 but is showing a lot more of his ability and his movement across the frontline is good. Salah has been involved a lot more, defenders standing off him helps.

Need a second though.

It's my first proper look at Nunez, I missed the Palace and Everton games so I've only seen clips from those and his brief cameos off the bench. He certainly is a bundle of energy but as someone pointed out, he can try a bit to hard and looks for the odd Hollywood pass! But to be fair, he has great movement and he will definitely get goals for us once we regain a bit of form and get decent service to him.

Outside of getting Real Madrid I don't think there is much difference in winning the group, just get through the group!!! We cannot get City due to same country rule. Nunez making and timing his runs really well, unlucky with the one that nearly went through his legs, I fancy him to get 2 at the Kop end and a great result so far for us in the Napoli game as if they can beat Ajax tonight and tomorrow week, then we are nearly through if we beat Rangers in both games.

He sure did. Sometimes when a player leaves, you remember the great stuff but forget some of the negatives. Same could be applied to Gini who had so many 5/10 performances.

I still miss Mané though.

300th appearance for Milner - some transfer.

This is exactly why he is in the squad. Last 10 - 15 of a game where we are comfortable and give someone a rest. He has seen too much game time outside of this type of option this year.
