The rain in Cork today has been nothing short of extraordinary!

Very significant amounts of rain have fallen and many parts of the city have spot flooding.

This gives some indication....

If you don't need to go out in Cork this evening, then perhaps you shouldn't.....

On a recent drive from Trim to Dublin via Kilcock, there was quite a variation of temperature along the way, particularly on the more rural parts between Trim and Kilcock where temperatures varied between 1° and 6, depending on whether I was in a dip/valley (lower temperature) or up on a ridge (higher temperature). As I neared Dublin, the temperature remained a steady 6°
