What happened all the rain. I've only got 6 ml this week. Hurricane on the way now I hear

Good few puddles here, power was out last night too

If we get enough rain would we get good grass growth this month?

Couple of heavy showers over weekend d and grass has turned green but ground still rock hard . Orange warning seemed over the top 🔝

Heavy downpours here at the minute. Not sure how much good it is going as the ground is like concrete. Bound to be doing some good though, but would expect run off to be high.

Getting a pile of rain here in Cork. Downpours since Friday, but raining non-stop now since yesterday. Over 4 inches in a bucket I had out from Friday till today. Ground getting messy where cattle are sheltering. I'm hoping it will squeeze up quick when/if the rain stops as the ground should be able to take a good sup.

Grass is moving now but still lower covers than I'd like, and haven't much ground fertilized, was too dry last week - now it'll be washed away!

40 mm here since yesterday morning (Tuesday) still heavy showers. I didn't put out fert yet because it'd be washed away.

Not much rain around here. I'd say a total of 30mm over the last week

Same here. Doing a bit of digging today and only an inch from the top of the ground the topsoil is pure powder.

It’s still hard to get the pigtail posts into the ground around here.

Sun shining after all the rain, cattle look like they've been dry cleaned

Have enough now down here. Constant series of intense showers for the last 5 days

Some rain falling now, changing gaps for cows

Serious rain now. Not much I can do about it so may as well enjoy it.

    98% humidity this morning.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I see Carlow weather is predicting 10 days of good fine weather returning from now on. are the rain of the last few days the grass should jump now with the return of the sun.

Some grass growing weather. It'd grow on the back of your hand.

Miserable day here today. First time I've actually felt the cold when out all year. Really heavy wind and rain last night and now a mixture of rain, sun, cold and wind.

Won't officially be winter until facebook is filled with red top headlines of an impending snowstorm to end all snowstorms, repeat every 6 weeks until May

Soft rain here all day. Started at around 9.15. Glad of the indoor crush for scanning today.

Serious rain here today and turned right windy now. Start of winter turned in 15 autumn calvers as they were miserable outside. Hope to keep younger stock out for a few more weeks

Incredible Rain today, absolutely incredible. Winter brought well forward.

Rain powered by strong winds here are lashing the house tonight. So much so that the house alarm went off. We have plenty of silage so I think we'll be calling it quits and getting them in as they are in an exposed location. Have some grass at another place but facilities there are not the best so will leave it for the sheep.

Very windy this morning, but at least it is dry.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    Great drying out

Orange rain warning for South and south east tonight and through tomorrow

  • Registered Users Posts: 320 ✭✭RockOrBog

Lightening here now with only a 1 second gap to the thunder, most of the bulbs in the house are blown, neighbours house phone blew to bits.

That means your house was struck. Feck.

Hopefully not much else wrong today.
