Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wahoo HR warranty replacement & a Wahoo Bolt V1 another warranty replacement but hoping they send a V2 instead 😂.

Wahoo really are top class with customer service & support tickets.

Had a savagely bad time with BikeInn of late. Deporvillage, on the other hand, is lightning fast. It's partly the choice of courier, but BI also seem to sit on stuff thats 'in stock' for ages, before sending it (so maybe it's not really in stock?).

Dhb softshell fleece cycling jacket. Currently going for 50e on Chainreaction.

You get sorted replacing the bearings in the end? Yet to order mine, but not really get out much on the bike with the crap weather.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,488 ✭✭✭Macy0161

Yeah, the turbo belt still in transit to distribution centre! I ordered a generic from the UK (they removed the VAT once I emailed) and arrived in a couple of days, so no rush, but will be cancelling soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,164 ✭✭✭and still ricky villa

I've noticed with Bikeinn that something they say is in stock can have a delivery date that is weeks away. I only order from them if delivery says a couple of days. They sent something to Iran on me once but it came to me eventually after a few weeks, and a refund

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,678 ✭✭✭DeepBlue

Would the Royal Mail strike probably be the reason for the delay?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,488 ✭✭✭Macy0161

One that I forgot about - O rings to replace the broken one on my 4iii battery cap. 17mm x 1mm if anyone's looking, on ebay for 5 significantly less than the battery cap (not to mention added postage). Not technically in the post, but no longer have to swap the battery cap between bikes!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,056 ✭✭✭cletus

If you keep an eye out in Lidl, they do a box of assorted o-rings every couple of months, for 4 quid or so. I knowe there'll be a go of sizes you won't need, but I like to have a variety to hand for general repairs (not bike specific)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,488 ✭✭✭Macy0161

Have them actually, but no 17x1. It doesn't seem to be a common size (even the assorted boxes on amazon don't have them).

I'd have thought they'd have been shipped from Louth by An Post directly - that's usually the case. @magicbastarder got his a few days ago I think, so I'm assuming some gremlins with An Post, I've had a other issues of late which is unusual. I went for the free rather than tracked shipping, so don't have that as an avenue. I'll give it until the weekend and if it hasn't turned up then, drop them an email

interesting to see how they compare to the Ohri thermal bibs i have from Etxeondo, which are good

Donda jersey arrived today (after customs payment....). Very happy with it, really like the simple, slightly retro style.

Yep job done, left hand thread nut on freehub side caught me out. But need that off to remove the freehub and then knock out the axle. Drift out bearings and use my BB30 bearing press to push in new bearings and an old bearing to push it all the way down. Then reassemble.

    Worth checking fulcrum tech docs

R7000 53/39 chainrings for my spare race bike or race bike depending on parts availability next year.

€73 delivered so couldn't leave that pass.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 25,184 Mod ✭✭✭✭CramCycle

Chains galore, one spare for the race bike and a long one for the CX/Commuter so I can run a large chainring on it during the week. Also overshoes as I can't find mine and an hour of wet shoes on the train is not fun.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,830 ✭✭✭✭dahat

HR arrived no hassle but the headunit wont be shipped until the defective unit is collected by TNT. However after taking a half dau from work they failed to collect so another date is scheduled with more time off work 😡. No reason or excuse for not meeting the first collection either.

2nd attempt at getting a delivery of the Galibier jersey + leg warmers that've gone awry with An Post. Huge shout out to the excellent as ever Galibier customer service. I sent them an email (early) yesterday morning, and they got back to me in a matter of minutes to confirm it had actually gone to the mail on 17th as I'd expected, and without quibble they offered to ship it again in the next post. They just asked to let them know if the original one ever turned up and they'd cover the return postage

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,056 ✭✭✭cletus

Payday, so just ordered a pair of bib tights from Galibier

Not in the post but trying to get in the post some stuff from Rose. How do you get it Ireland delivery. Its stuck on US. Is there no.. ie site or drop down?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 25,184 Mod ✭✭✭✭CramCycle

There was a .ie.site, it would flick over for me as soon as I put in the Irish delivery address although some things won't ship here

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 25,184 Mod ✭✭✭✭CramCycle

Just went over for a look and your right, the .ie site reroutes to .com now. Once I sign in it looks like I can still order though (nothing to test it with though).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,260 ✭✭✭Kaisr Sose

Yes, ie is defaulting back to com. At basket you can select Ireland, I think. Its putting me off though normally you change to delivery country for vat and carriage. Strange.

Oops.. That's 3 posts on the last couple of pages complaining about Bikeinn..

Never used them before till last night. Ordered 3 items. 39T chainring, leg warmers and oversocks. Estimated delivery for each individual item is Nov 2nd so fingers crossed there won't be any issues. Bike24 can often take 10 days so around that length of time won't be too bad.

Was originally looking at oversocks and chainring on Deporvillage but at 17 euro postage they can keep them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,904 ✭✭✭DeadSkin

Purchased some bearings over the weekend from https://www.deporvillage.net/ - if it's of any use to any one enter dre7 in the promo code box to get 8% off.

Very nearly fell for that one Thursday too, there was a nice discount in their email, but I already have two Mistrals and a Mistral pro.

I don't know where I got the resolve to pass it up from, as I really love the colour of that one.

I instead visited Wiggles black Friday sale and ordered three new shorts and three new winter/spring long sleeve jerseys.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,121 ✭✭✭G1032

Still hasn't arrived. Last tracking update was the 9th November telling me it had been exported from Holland and in it's way too Ireland. What a shambolic service. But if one needed something they weren't in a huge hurry for there's probably value to be found on bikeinn

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,121 ✭✭✭G1032

Passed on it myself too. Although I could do with it. I had an old Gabba that's well past it's best and a Mistral Pro which I really regret buying over the Mistral. It's just miles too warm for the recent winters. Only ever get a bit of use out of it in Feb/Mar. Could count on one hand the amount of times I wore it last winter and I did 3 weekend spins almost every week from November to March.

Any one have any issues with https://www.deporvillage.net/ customer service. I received my order but a piece was missing. Been a week now since I heard from them, they asked for pictures, I provided them last week but no contact since.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,121 ✭✭✭G1032

These arrived today.18 days from order date. I guess the items were competitively priced and if I'm not in a hurry for something I will probably use Bikeinn again. A very very long delivery time though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 970 ✭✭✭rushfan

Not in the post, but just collected a Trek Dual Sport 2 hybrid from Richie's in Swords for use in the winter months. Going to take it out for it's inaugural tomorrow with a view to commuting from Thursday week. Though there's some weight difference between it an d my Cube road bike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,459 ✭✭✭Gerry

I've 2 panaracer 38c slicks, 2 schwalbe xc mtb tyres, fork rebuild kit kit en route from bike24. Hope it arrives next day or two so I can get the slicks fitted tubeless and commute later in week. also a dropper and cassette, brake pads from wiggle.

Agreed, I used them for the first time a few weeks ago and a large box of items arrived at the weekend 15 days after ordering. Prices were good as I was initially going to order from AllTricks having previously used them in early Jan but their prices and shipping since then are no longer as competitive. My basket from BikeInn including shipping (9.99) cost €140 and the exact same items from AllTricks would have cost €176

That said one of the items ordered from BikeInn was a brake bleed kit with a small bottle of mineral oil included and instead they sent me just a 500ml bottle of mineral oil. Looks like they changed their picture of the item since as now it only shows the mineral oil without the kit included. Whole lot of hassle now trying to sort and prove that I just didn't order the incorrect item.

My mother bought me a voucher for 360 Cycles in Clontarf for my last birthday and made use of it last Friday. A package just arrived to the office here with the following...

    • Shimano yellow cleats
    • 2 * 105 11 speed chains
    • AirTag mount
    • Kriptonite U-lock & cable

All at good prices and then discounted with 25% off.

Not the neatest job, but got this done over the weekend (I was getting too tempted by the new Fly12 Sport!). First time soldering, so quite worried about them exploding, but got there in the end! All fitted back together and appears to be working ok (not heating up charging, and getting 4 beeps again).

Kickr Core smart trainer, replaces and older elite one that went wrong (to their credit they honoured the warranty).

Will be great to have over Christmas and early next year when its still too cold for us softies :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,459 ✭✭✭Gerry

sadly still waiting for bike24, no update on tracking since 23rd. will be contacting them..

    Is this typical for bike24?

meanwhile wiggle order arrived. looks like fastway tried to trash the box, luckily everything inside was intact.

Bike24 can take anything up to 2 weeks to deliver something. God be with the days you could order from CRC have it delivered the next day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,289 ✭✭✭JMcL

I've found over the years anything coming from Germany can disappear from the face of the earth for anything up to 2 weeks and then suddenly be delivered. You'll often see DHL mentioned, but invariably this means Deutche Post (who own DHL), and also invariably involves whatever it is getting put on a truck, sent to Cologne, put on another truck then going into stealth mode for a long time.I had a nerve wracking wait on an expensive pile of PC components a few years back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,459 ✭✭✭Gerry

Yeah thanks folks. Guess I was lucky before as was usually under a week. I guess I expected a little more from dpd than the infamous deutchepost/dhl

No longer in the post, but heated socks with battery pack. I'll give my verdict in the morning by the looks of things... ⛄️
