    Ace Steel has been released.

The trio's match was fun Penta & Fenix after working AAA over the weekend just seem to be machines putting in great matches.

    Storm & Shida was great

Great to see Rhio back hopefully she will be around for a while now and the womens divison gets a good run there is a lot of talent there now. (Storm, Shida, Hayter, Athena, Martinez, Deeb, Rhio, Rosa & Saraya along with a ground of talented young green women)

    MJF & Regal was gold.

Jericho again showing why he is the GOAT.

Hager is just prefect in his role.

I want to see the Boys against 2.0 now.

I'm surpried more guys don't land on their heads when the flip on clotheslines like Hangman.

Fair play to the doctor ending the match straight away and hopefully it is just a mild concussion for Hangman.

    Ace steel sacked

    The Elite mentioned on Dynamite

Punk in the ROH video package.

I see Black and Andrade are still in that Full Gear package before Dark and Elevation as well.

I guess as long as they're under contract they may as well get use out of them.

Poor ratings for Dynamite considering 4 titles on the line and Moxley/Hangman should have been a draw.

It's because it was on a different day than usual , it was the same , same day last year

Title matches become less of a big deal when they give them away as frequently as AEW do.

    In the 7 episodes of Dynamite since All Out they've had;

    2 world title matches.

    3 women's (interim) title matches.

    2 TNT title matches.

    4 ROH world title matches.

    1 ROH pure title match.

    2 tag team title matches.

    2 trios title matches.

    2 All Atlantic title matches.

And that's just Dynamite that I checked. Probably another dozen or so on the rubbish shows like Rampage and Battle of the Belts.

From memory here is the amount of Championships defended on AEW TV

    World Championship

    Interim World Championship

    Tag Team Championship

    TNT Championship

    TBS Championship

    Women's Championship

    All-Atlantic Championship

    FTW Championship

    Trios Championship

    ROH World Championship

    ROH TV Championship

    ROH Women's Championship

    ROH Tag Team Championship

    ROH Pure Championship

    AAA Tag Team Championship

    AAA MEGA Championship

    AAA Mixed-Tag Championship

    IWGP Tag Team Championship

    IWGP United States Championship

    IWGP World Championship

    Impact World Championship

    Impact Tag Titles

So ya titles are not meaning a whole lot on AEW.

Talk going around that the expected resolution of Brawl Out is that Punk will be bought out of his contract and not return to AEW. Apparently the non-compete clause is making it complicated.

What a strange year of Punk it was if this pans out.

Funny how everything is gone a complete 180 since the buzz of his return on to when when he was lauded for helping out the younger wrestlers ((Starks etc. watching all the matches and staying until the end of the shows to give advice) to getting in the wrong side of the Elite, losing his rag and becoming the devil for calling out bullsh1t and getting into a row backstage when 5 wrestlers plus entourage that included a legal rep barge into his dressing room to confront him.

There was a time and place for Punk to air his grievances, and it sure as hell wasn't unprompted at a post PPV scrum. Man fucked around, and he found out. The Elite at least in their positions had the sense to cover their asses and bring H.R.

Punk had it all, then fucked it up.

If getting rid of Punk means getting The Elite back, then that's fine by me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,130 ✭✭✭ThePott

Agreed, what a waste though. So many awesome matches and and stories that will just never be. He had some great stuff in the year but what a shame that this was the way things went.

If this is the end of Punk wrestling and that would hardly be a surprise, what a shambles of a return for it's wasted potential.

True... what a sliding doors moment that stupid jump over the barrier into the crowd after he won the title the first time was. That was the same night as MJF's nuke, and should've been the first steps of their reignited rivalry over the summer, with MJF playing the part of Punk 11 years ago. But Punk broke himself, missed the whole summer, and caused this whole catastrophe almost the second he got back.

If he just came straight out to the ring and celebrated his newly won belt, instead of jumping into the crowd, things could look very different right now!

    Jade is just perfection

Nice to see Willow become All Eilte

AEW does not need Andrade when they have Rush.

They could also sign Rush's brothers if the want to make a Mexican faction.

    They do need Bandido.

    Omega

Omega yes, wouldn't cross the road to see the bucks if I had free tickets....still undecided about hangman.... anxious millennial cowboy has been an afterthought in TKs toy box for too long

My issue with Hangman is that they killed his character while making him a champion. He's been a dweeb ever since.

Mox vs Penta for dynamite, should be a banger.

  • Registered Users Posts: 60,616 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Wade Keller saying he thinks MJF may have signed a contract extension however neither MJF or AEW will admit to it because they want to play out a storyline over the next year or two.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,850 ✭✭✭Pentecost

Yeah they've made it such a big thing now that they'll have to keep it quiet as long as they can.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,080 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Jade: "I'm not leaving this ring until I get my belt"

Also Jade: leaves after hitting a few security guards.

Was thinking Willow would be All Elite at some point. Though kinda thought she already was.

This is pretty big for the company that is less than 4 years old.

AEW Named to Fast Company’s Second Annual “Brands That Matter” List

-- Fast Company’s newest recognition honors companies providing compelling reasons for people to care about them and offering inspiration for others to buy in --

Oct. 25, 2022 Fast Company announced today that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was named in its second annual Brands That Matter list, honoring brands that communicate and demonstrate brand purpose. The award honors companies and nonprofits that have achieved relevance through cultural impact and social engagement, and authentically communicated their missions and ideals.

AEW was honored among 145 companies, including large multinational conglomerates, startups and nonprofits that give people compelling reasons to care about them, offer inspiration for others to buy in. All 145 have found an ability to forge an emotional connection with customers, whether leading on the environment or pop culture, engaging B2B customers, or responding meaningfully to current events.

“This year, we’ve expanded the Brands That Matter program to evaluate honorees in the context of how they matter within the category in which they compete for people’s attention or loyalty. The result is a wide-ranging list of honorees that are making their mark on culture, and through social impact,” said Brendan Vaughan, Fast Company’s editor-in-chief.

“The distinction of being a brand that matters perfectly describes the rise of AEW in 2022,” said Tony Khan, CEO, GM and Head of Creative of AEW. “For the first time in more than two decades, professional wrestling fans have a legitimate, competitive alternative to mainstream wrestling, and we’re not only reviving the interest of lapsed fans, but also generating the fans of tomorrow with a world-class roster of incredible athletes and creative minds. This is an award earned by every wrestler on the roster, every producer and coach, everyone backstage making our shows run seamlessly, every fan in the arenas and every viewer watching around the world.” .............

And Mei Suruga made her return on Elevation.

Speaking of Elevation, Varsity Blonds are now just The Blonds, though they haven't updated their entrance video. Different attitude as well.

Then the thing with The Firm and Matt Hardy playing out on there as well.
