McDonalds Westside drive thru - items missing from order

We pick up from westside drive thru Iwould say 3 times a year. Picked up this eve, and again, an item was missing. Its happened to me a few times before, but tonight was really pissed off as it was an order of nuggets for someone who wanted nuggets and nothing else. I drove home, 20 mins later find them missing. Too far to go back.

Is it just Westside or are all McDonalds across Ireland this ?

If it has happened before why not check the order as soon as you get it? I know that is not much use for yesterday's order, but if you use them again it would seem the sensible thing to do.

It's over 30 years ago and I still remember it every time I go to the drive thru.

Its always a big order, and I take a quick look each time, but admit I dont dig to the bottom. Plus I'm thinking of the Q behind me.

But next time, I will make them wait why I make a full inventory count.

Happens with deliveries too, they give you a bag and long gone before you realize something is missing.

You could pull over into one of the waiting spots and do your digging there. Don't hold everyone else up.

I find McDonald's fairly good, last time they forgot something, they ran after the car and caught up with me at the traffic lights.

Now KFC in Briarhill, the only time they got an order correct, was when i was ordering a single item...

I have made the same fast food place come back to my house twice, with the missing items. Just call them and tell them you want your order in full.

And while we are at it, if I order a specific beverage, its not interchangeable with any other type of beverage, when you are out. I will make you come back with my diet coke. I don't want any of this full sugar nonsense, while I am watching my figure :)

Is it the case they are short staffed and as a result the orders are been put together chaotically - or is it the case they cant get decent staff these days?.

what are they paying these people - if its minimum wage its hard get staff that really care on minimum wage anymore ?

If it's staff that don't care, or are really thick, or something - if you don't at least tell the outlet, how will they know?

Whatever about going all the way back to get your missing nuggets, or holding up a queue for 10 mins while you forensically examine your bag at the window - at least give them a call and let them know something was missing.

When you pull forward and turn right there are at least 2 parking places to pull over. Handy spot to check your order and run inside if they mess up again.

Your wrong there - it depends on the franchisees- some Pay decent enough 13 Euro an hour but some pay minimum wage ( the pat McDonaghs of the McDonald’s franchise land )
