How is everyone who was successfull in HEO ICT 2020 campaign progressing? Have you all took the offer and started somewhere?

I done an interview recently as I was on the reserve panel for HEO ICT Infra stream and heard back yesterday with some good news that I made the order of merit. I'm wondering of those who were successful earlier in the year, How do they find their new role ?. I'm coming from a technical background and like just doing the day to day IT stuff, but is the HEO role more management lead, where you end up in meetings and are you leading large team of people.

Joined up on a batch a few years ago and it depends where you go, first dept was a lot of management, got the help desk to look after as new entrants do! Now in a different dept doing much more technical work and very little management. I prefer the tech work myself and tbh it's up to yourself what way you go, it's a very small community the IT world in the civil service and there's a dept to suit everyone the more you look around. I'm glad I joined up and the security and quality of life suits me better than the private/contracting I used to do.

Hi,

I did an Interview for Senior ICT Digital Engagement Specialist in CS there in March and got placed 12th on OOM. Coming from the private sector.

How did other people get on and do you expect to hear back?. What are the chances of an offer? It wasn't for any particular stream afaik

I can't take Dublin unless it's some sort of Remote role.

The message didn't sound too positive, "don't call us, we'll call you" type...

Hi all, has anyone who applied for HEO posts in the NTA (closing date was 14.10.22) heard back one way or another? Or in general how soon after application deadline would people contact the organisation if they hadn't heard back, apart from the acknowledgement on the day of application itself, its now 14 days since I applied (on the final day).
