Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Temporary Shower Upgrade

    So I am in the process of building a new shower room etc but due to the availability of builders etc I need to set up something temporary.

    I have a bathroom with a bath and the standard shower head off the bath taps. I was wondering if any option to increase the performance of this shower? we have tiles etc in the room and don't want to do a full refurb as it should be only for a few months but the current shower is very low pressure.

    I could look at the shower heads that are supposed to increase the performance but any other options? Thanks

    Shower heads "might" make a slight difference.

    Realistically you will need to boost the pressure. If the hot & cold feed for the shower are assessable then you can install a pump fairly easily. You can buy a cheap pump like https://st-pumps.ie/product/stuart-turner-techflo-tp-s-positive-head-shower-pump-1-5bar/

    Domestic pumps and ST Pumps both sell reconditioned pumps or you could take a chance on a 2nd hand one from Adverts or Donedeal.

    The pump idea is only worth while financially for such a short period of time if you can install it yourself IMO

    Be it a cheap new pump, reconditioned or 2nd hand you always have the option of selling on Adverts or Donedeal when you are finished using it

    Unfortunately the previous owner of the house tiled the side of the bath and left no access hole. So I can't install a pump unless I put it on top of the bath taking the feed from the top which is not ideal

    I was going to run pipes and down shower wall but I will end up making a mess for something that will only be used for a short period
