Hello, I’ve just been threadbanned for posting my thoughts re Covid response on the main Covid thread. In my post I stated that while vaccines improved the outcomes for some people, they did not prevent transmission or infection. I also stated I was opposed to vaccine mandates for such a product. I’ve been threadbanned by the moderator beasty for stating this and called anti vaccine. She / He has probably deleted my post too which she / he can post here if they want a valid review of it. S/he has repeatedly called me anti vaccine in private messages despite me being twice vaccinated by Pfizer which I’ve stated and highlighted I was opposed to Covid passports and mandates. I was opposed to Covid vaccine passports as time went on and I’ve repeatedly stated to him/her I have taken many vaccines over my life. She/He still insists with this insult to me in private messages and routinely bans posters for no apparent reason.

    1. I did not state anything that is untrue in my post re transmission or infection.
    2. I did not encourage anti vaccine sentiments and stated that vaccines should always be done via informed consent which is the recommendation from our own government and HSE.
    3. Beasty is completely biased moderating this forum and also insulting on private correspondence calling any point I make anti vaccine simply for questioning policy re Covid passports or mandates, multiple boosters.

I do not have a reason given as to why I was threadbanned making general points on the thread only ‘anti vaccine rhetoric’. I’m sick of boards allowing this valid debate to continually be stifled and disrupted by a moderator who in no way shows impartiality on any front on this forum.

Threadbans are dealt with in Help Desk

I told you why you were thtreadbanned. You have posted anti-vax rhetoric numerous times throughout the pandemic and were sanctioned for doing so. More recently you were banned from the vaccines thread. You now choose to post your anti vax rhetoric in the general thread. As I have told you via PM I will ban you from any other threads in the Coronbavirus forum where you choose to discuss vaccines

I will post my complaints about you and your moderation as a boards user. You have no basis banning me from the Covid thread and there was no anti vaccine rhetoric in my post. You’ve been moderating that forum in a completely biased way and getting away with it shutting down any debate at all re Covid response. You’re also stating I’ve anti vaccine rhetoric from this post? Complete lie and incompetent moderation.

“Hindsight is an invaluable tool that no one had in 2020. Was it understandable that there was a lockdown at the start? Absolutely. But once it became clear where the threat with Covid lay, particularly with older and vulnerable people, our response should have changed accordingly which it never did. I’ve seen some posters on here mention ‘international best practice’. The fact of the matter is Ireland was an outlier in that regard and locked down for longer, for more prolonged periods and more severe restrictions imposed. If we remember the coveted NPHET and Government ‘levels’, many countries eventually functioned at a level 3 with indoor dining & pubs closed, adapted options re shops & barbers which remained open, schools open & instead of 5km travel limits - county travel limits. The response was solely focused on lessening the spread of Covid, without taking into account the severe societal impacts the restrictions would have, particularly as they dragged on. When the Covid vaccine appeared in 2021, people were offered a way out by taking it. What we know now is it doesn’t prevent transmission or infection but seems to have lessened the impact on hospitals. Multiple boosters should be questioned & vaccine passports for societal participation are criminal in my opinion. Taking a medicine of any kind should be done via informed consent of a medical professional and patient, period. A reflection and evaluation of what went wrong and right during Covid is vital for figure crisis going forward.”

I’ve just read another persons complaints against beasty, s/he closes down the complaints against them also. It’s important to highlight the absolutely impartial moderation going on.

Is there a rule that says you can't be critical of vaccines or against them completely.

My body my choice and all of that

Forums/mods can block any posts or poster they want. Its their forum. Their rules. They can do what they like there is no free speech.

Besides which the comments about vaccines in this thread are inaccurate. Not that it matters because the problem is ignoring the mods instructions.

So despite being threadbanned you post this in the thread

"And just like that I’m threadbanned for posting facts re vaccines. I would urge people to complain against beasty for his completely biased and disgraceful moderation of this forum.2

And you start this thread while still in PM communication with me about the matter

Fine - thread closed and I am not engaging further on this matter
