Dent Repair.

I have noticed a very small, shallow dent just above the right wheel arch of my car. No idea how it happened, looks like a shopping trolley ding . It's very minor but in a visible spot, so irritating therefore. The paint is undamaged. I was thinking of attempting a DIY fix to pull it out using one of those suction pad devices. Mick's Garage have one made by Draper Tools. Should I just bite the bullet and bring it to a body repair shop. I'm reluctant to spend a lot of money fixing a small blemish like this but would like to get it fixed. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Does that process usually involve that method - using pads to pull the dent out?.

I think the suction cups would be more for large panels, normally they tap them out. It's not that expensive to get done

Went to one such place today. The guy said not possible, basically, without drilling a hole from inside the panel outwards and then filling. As I understood him, because it's a rear panel it's twice the thickness of a front panel and Nissan steel is not the strongest hence the degree of difficulty. Make of that what you will.

Ouch. That's a bad one simply of where it is.

A dent puller isn't going to help.

There used to be a lad that operated out of the Dundrum Shopping centre car park, he was brilliant, long gone now tho.

4 or 5 hundred euro repair I would guess. Notify your insurance company, see if you can claim. Tell them the exact date, time and nature of the incident.
