In fairness it's you guys that shouldn't be in this thread. You should have a pickem thread all to yourself.

It's clear you aren't as interested in football as you are in trying to be an amateur Nostradamus.

I know Mayfield is bad but he's better than Walker. Walker gets the start, Baker on the bench and Darnold in street clothes tonight. Imo it should be Walker in street clothes. Like last week Walker got benched after throwing 3 of 10 for 9 yards and 2 ints and that was in a whole half of football.

Anyways Falcons punt to start the game, Panthers get a field goal to go up 3-0.

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,284 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Falcons offensive line was awful tonight, Mariota inaccurate on a lot of throws too.

Walker had no picks tonight but he only threw for 108 yards.

Panthers won by ten on a score of 25-15. Star of the show was D'Onta Foreman with 130 rushing yards and a touchdown, Shenault had two runs for 42 yards and a touchdown.

Looks like all of you pickem guys are off to an 0-1 start. 🤣

Everybody here gets knocked out on game 1. Still nobody can pick all. I will do it some day soon, or else I will eat my hat.

Justin Fields with an awful int there. He has 154 passing yards and it's the fourth quarter. It's only a matter of time before defenses figure out how to stop him running and he won't be able to do anything.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,243 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Runs for another 60+ yard TD a minute after you posted your cherry picked stats. Cry.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,735 ✭✭✭Mr. Guappa

    That Justin Jefferson catch... WOW

  • Registered Users Posts: 957 ✭✭✭thefa

It basically looked like a pick and somehow avoided hitting the ground too. Followed it up with a good catch too and then the TD catch.

Edit - was a yard short!

    Some finish to Vikings Bills

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,303 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

Love to see it, serious character.

Justin Jefferson is Jerry Rice incarnate.

  • Registered Users Posts: 319 ✭✭collybyrne

This is insane. Some of the best play you'll see on both sides of the ball. Jefferson is having the game of his life and it's still not enough to finish off the Bills. So far..........

  • Registered Users Posts: 957 ✭✭✭thefa

Not sure is it Vikings magic or a bit of a collapse for the Bills after being 17 points ahead at home. Gave up a big run, two picks and a fumble on their own line. Jefferson was magic but Cousins threw some absolute beauts too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,303 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

One of the best regular season games I have seen.

Allen's MVP odds plummeting by the week.

  • Registered Users Posts: 319 ✭✭collybyrne

Spot on, that was possibly the best I've seen Cousins play, certainly in the 4th quarter.

Almost seems a shame to end it on what was a poor INT from Allen. The game deserved better. Still great to have an absolute cracker like that in the early window on a Sunday. God knows they've been few and far between this season.

Hopefully the next time McDaniels runs back to Foxborough with his tail between his legs it'll be the last we hear about the bum. He has never been and will never be HC material.

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,284 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

And you lost against a bad team.

My point is that he's just a running back under center. Teams will adjust to stop the run and he's got nothing then.

You really don't know anything about whether he's head coach material or not, I don't either. He's taken over a team that's had one winning season in the last five years. I'm sure there's lots of issues to be worked out there and it'll take another draft to catch up.

And I'd love it if he came back to New England.
