It's worth noting that Wales and Georgia play agin in the rugby world cup.

The Welsh will be hungry for revenge while the Georgians will know that they can beat Wales.

A new head coach will give Wales a short term boost. They aren't as bad as recent performances would suggest.

Their biggest issue however is the glaring lack of talent throughout the squad. There appears to be a lost generation hitting Welsh rugby. The players who are in their 30's are predominantly still their best players. Tipuric, Faletau, Owens, Williams, North etc are still nailed on starters when fit. But they're nowhere near as good as they were 5 years ago. But such is the lack of depth in Welsh rugby that they have to start.

There are some guys in their early 20's like LRZ and Rio Dyer who could be good. But there's very few guys in their mid 20's in that squad who you'd have faith in to take over once the old hands retire. There also appears to be a distinct lack of talent in the front 5 forwards.

Waintight, basham are fine players but not near the squad.

North was never a center. AWJ is hanging around like a bad smell.

    They are in terrible shape.

    Its great.

People creaming themselves about finn russell and he does as much wrong as he does right in every game.

Have to watch it back but apparently Sam Warburton and Desperate Dan are after utterly savaging the WRU in the post match. Interesting times.

Wales ranking is about to plummet, a year out from a World Cup where they are top seed...!

    Red card for Kremer.

Swinging arm to Watson's head when entering a ruck.

    Red

Oh FFS Argentina. Absolutely needless red again. If its not Kramer, it's Lavinini. Absolutely no excuses.

That harsh, lavanini hasnt gotten a red card in almost a year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Was that not a knock on? He knocked it onto himself and then regathered?

Harsh on Montoya, thought he did enough to get the penalty for holding on one phase before.

Nearly guaranteed a red card in a test match these day’s, so stupid.

I do find it hard to feel sorry for Wales. A few weeks ago Sam Warburton was blaming the lack of intensity in the URC for Wales's troubles at getting immediately back up to speed at test level.

Did you see the incident? How is it not a red?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

That's the default position with Wales though. Blame the URC or IRFU.

WRU have neglected the domestic game from the regions down. Regions don't have any clarity on budgets year on year etc.

    Harris nearly butchered that

Anyone know what the Welsh coaching team is right now?

Could Pivac pull a Foster. Hang his team and save his role?

I can feel sorry for Wales Rugby fans in that the WRUs incompetence and mismanagement is very similar to that of the FAI. Much like under John Delaney, player pathways and development was neglected in favour of keeping local, amateur administrators on side.

    delighted for Georgia

I was in Tbilisi for NYE this year and the first thing the car rental guy, the taxi drivers, the Airbnb apartment owner wanted to talk about was rugby.

and they love their fireworks. Can’t post my own video, but this sums it up….

NYE in Tbilisi should be on everyone’s bucket list…..

Haha. My youngest son spent 5 weeks in Tblisi earlier this year. Really enjoyed it. Rugby and wrestling seem to be the obsession with the locals.

    Delighted for Georgia.

The last 3 or 4 scrums were fantastic for Georgia. Utterly dominant.

    Argies imploding here

Lol. Scoring a try with 12 on the pitch is the most Argentina thing ever.

The Amazon Prime coverage needs a NSFW tag. 3 lads pouring over Finn Russell for anything and everything.
