IPv6 on Irish ISPs

What ISPs in Ireland are offering full dual-stack IPv4/IPv6? As in, with a public IPv4 address. The only one I know of is Eir but are there any others? It still doesn't seem to be all that essential but am curious.

I believe blacknight would be included also but would be happy for someone to correct me if that isn't the case.

Is Eir doing that as standard, or do you have to ask for it? Was never able to get a v6 range from them

On domestic connections yes. Not sure about business.

It's not on by default so it's just a matter of contacting us to get the details and enabling it in your router

Do you retain a public IPv4 address or is it a DS-Lite setup like on Virgin Media?

Sorry but I'm not sure I understand what you're asking - possibly because I've no idea what Virgin Media do :)

We offer a fixed IPv4 address to all broadband users. We also offer native IPv6. Our network is dual stacked.

So you'd always have both.

eir offer it enable it by default for NGA (vdsl and ftth) customers. They don't for legacy adsl - I think it's an issue with some legacy CPEs that customers have

Virgin Media tunnel IPv4 traffic over the IPv6 connection, which is effectively carrier-grade NAT with a shared IPv4 address. You can opt out but only by getting their support to disable IPv6 entirely.

Oh! No we definitely don't do that. And I can't imagine why we'd even consider it.

There are some outstanding issues with IPv6 and some content providers ie. they view the IPv4 traffic as legit, but get a little upset with IPv6 and of course there are still a load of content providers out there that haven't moved towards IPv6...
