Cheap Flights to Miami, US

Prices more likely to go up but who knows-demand will determine prices.Any cheaper to fly from a UK airport or say Amsterdam? I don't know the departure airlines from Shannon.

End of March-April is high season in Miami area as well, with all the April vacations going on. I honestly can not see you getting it for any cheaper but would wait until this Friday. And prices will absolutely not drop after Christmas/NY. I like using Hopper app as you just put in your destination and dates and it will tell you, based on previous years data, when you should buy tickets. Worked really well for us few times.

You are funny :))) do you think I am just sitting here checking flights from Shannon to Miami non stop :))) Regarding your business class ambition - the only way I can see it working out is buying miles/points from someone else, who has too many and doesn’t care. My personal prediction - price won’t fall below €500. Main reason - we struggled to find Boston to Miami flights for us for $300 or less this June. Keep us updated 👍

Try Google flights but only buy from the Airline.

I'm the opposite. I suffer more going west (8.45h) but coming back was only 7.5hrs. Another thing to bear in mind is the aircraft if flying business. EI have been using the non refurbed ex Qatar planes on the Miami route. Although aircraft can and do change, I'd prefer to fork out for a better aircraft.

Well done on booking everything! Who are you flying with from London? Personally - clearing US immigration in Ireland - is priceless, you come out on the other side in a breeze. Be careful with car rental as well, depending if you booked on US or EU site - insurance arrangements might be different. Make sure you know what is included for sure before you get to the counter. Most likely everything is fine just good to know before you go. Have fun in Miami!

There is pre-clearance in Shannon but pre-clearance is only for direct flights. Your flight to London will be like any flight there and connect to your Miami flight. You will have to do immigration and customs in Miami.

Also make sure you have your ESTAs done

Immigration will be the delay, not Customs which is generally a walk-through. Ensure you dispose of all fruit or meat products on arrival.

No problem with tayto crisps, you can buy multi packs in Shannon airport duty free. Milk - you mean whatever you can bring through security - that won’t be that much and no problem or Formula in the suitcase - no problem either.

I really hope everything goes smoothly for you on your trip. Don’t hold your breath re AA airlines - very average. The only way I would fly to US from Ireland via London (very crowded airports, massive lines, extremely expensive food/drink) - if I was upgraded to higher than economy on the likes of Virgin Atlantic.
