Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there a set procedure at garda stations for recording details of lost property handed in ?

Put another way, if you hand something in is there an audit trail ?

Not all Garda stations will take lost property. A taxi driver tried to hand in my phone to one in Dublin and he was told to go to another one on the other side of the city.

Beyond that I can't help I'm afraid. Try the Garda website?

Property found in PSV's go to designated stations. Property found elsewhere can be dropped to any station.

above is correct , anything found in PVS taxies or buses goes to the carriage office

Anything else gets a barcode and goes into the PEMS system , a slow overly complicated and unnecessary system , and is supposed to be retained divisionally .

you may get a recipet but some stations dont have any paper books left at all .

apparently the anti-corruption unit has been going around to random stations dropping lumps of cash and other property, then checking the system to see if its been lodged in pems , you ll be happy to know no scandals yet
