My daughter bought a TV last week in Currys and paid €499 for it. This was an in-store purchase. She has since discovered that the same TV has a €60 discount if purchased online using a code on their website. Would she be entitled to look for a refund of this amount?

    I would imagine not.

She can ask, but there's no guarantee she will get it. It's effectively seeking good will from the retailer, not entitled to anything I'm afraid.

Thanks guys, that's what I thought myself. She isnt happy obviously so I'll tell her she can ring or email them and see if they have any discretion on this.

Can't hurt to ask. I bought a coffee machine on Amazon. It was reduced by 100£ 3 weeks later..I complained.. They gave me 100 credit...

I presume she was happy enough when she bought the TV?

She's only not happy now when she realised by buying online it was cheaper.

Tell her her to suck it up. It's her fault for not checking online first.
