What's the absolute cheapest cut of beef I can get?

I want to try out a few chinese takeaway recipes and will no doubt make an absolute mess of the first few attempts. I don't want to spend too much during this noob phase.

So what's the cheapest cut I an get? That's not gristly or full of cartilage.

Tesco often have big beef roasting joints on offer. Would that do for a stir fry?

why on earth wound you use inferior meat ? It’s horrific, trial your recipes as vegetarian and when you get it right add the Angus

To be honest, if you're a novice cook and envisage quick stir fries then maybe packs of thin quick frying beef pieces. Several supermarkets will sell something like that.

Your other option is buying boneless chicken thighs and dicing them.

I got a packet of that thin stir fry beef from Aldi. Full of collagen and tendons or something, was chewing for ages. I just want a lump of meat that I can slice up myself.

Check the supermarket specials on the day you are going shopping. All cuts vary in price depending on when they are put on promotion.

If doing beef stir fry, slice a small piece of steak wafer thin and use that as your beef. Barely needs heating to be tender. If cooked for long turns into sliced car tyre.

So you don’t want something cheap then you want something relatively decent? Buy diced steak from any supermarket.

Someone above posted a good suggestion. Cook it with just the veg first and then when you’ve practiced it a few times add the meat.
