Smyths have got very commercialised ...

It's only St. Stephens day ...

And they are selling babies 🤣

The days after a big day are always very very quiet! Like today. Hushed.. Apart from occasional heavy showers.

No rain here just a nice and sunny 10 degrees 👍

enjoy your coffee and buying babies 😂

Very tired and feeling my age these days.. I once asked on an ME/CFS forum if we lived to a good old age and how we fared.. To be told noone knew as few with this illness lived into old age.. Apparently that is due to our dodgy immune systems as even a small infection is very dangerous. Hence the totality of my happy isolation! A peaceful life...And with the internet etc...Just me and my cats!

Were your cats returned yesterday? I saw a post you put up that they had been stolen during the night .

Absolutely stunning day here today in the Algarve - 21C and not a cloud in the sky. 😎😎🌞🌞🌞

Will head into Faro later and explore the city but first will be going for a swim in the outdoor pool. 🏊‍♂️ 🌊

Regrettably two days of even normal and very enjoyable activity have left me drained! Such is old age etc...

Stove is well stocked; there are leftovers ... so relinquishing the day. As they say discretion is the better part of valour... lol..

Have a lovely Boxing Day... ooops St Stephen's Day!

(((HUGS))) Yes indeed we do! So sorry! They still are searching for a definitive diagnosis for M.E. I was totally misdiagnosed for 30 years and that did so much addititional damage. And I never now expect any appropriete medical care. I am in an excellent online forum " Phoenix Rising" but at my advanced age I just focus on the things I can still do without causing a relapse. Life is still beautiful and precious.

Shenanagins here today. Had to reluctantly get ambulance before lunch for Grumpy. Crew gave him a good checking out and we all agreed that the issue was resolving and it was better to let him recover at home than be parked on a trolley in a corridor in A&E for hours surrounded by chaos and infection only to be told eventually that the issue is resolved for now, away home with you. So yet another day in the bed for him. This is becoming his default now saddly. He's just had a bit of supper. Waiting on his carer so we can attend to him and settle him for the night. Fingers crossed its a quiet one.

    1740 Kms In 4 days 😂😂😂

Absolutely beautiful views that the phone cameras didn’t do justice to. But it is just amazing to watch the transformation of the landscape.

Starts with my morning caravan view, some Ottoman constructions and a working man.

Oh @Sardonicat that's rough. I hope you can manage a bit of rest *boobly hugs* as always

It's our "new normal" now. Tomorrow, I'll have managed to have kept him out of hospital a whole week. Not gonna lie, I'm on edge with him most if the time. But, I chose to care for him myself. As they say, when you sign up to be a soldier you must expect to do some soldiering.

You're doing a fantastic job Sardi, it isn't easy, I'll say no more because I don't want to sound patronising but well done girl.💕

I went shopping today, honestly thought the place would be empty but it was packed, the food court was crazy, it's like Christmas never happened and we're all just out and about as usual....I had 2 takeaway coffees. ☺️

Well as per usual i'm drifting around at abnormal hours for further hugs and nonsense talk as required

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,387 ✭✭✭✭Sardonicat

Thanks Grem. Currently sitting on his crash mat just out of his eyeline. He's got notions tonight to try and climb out of bed. Mat is surprisingly comfortable. Hoping and praying his sedation kicks in soon. I need the loo!

In cheerier news, Mrs G is well enough to face a proper dinner tomorrow, half leg of lamb is go!. Will get roasties and stud it with garlic in the morning 😃

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,387 ✭✭✭✭Sardonicat

Ohh, that sounds delish. I'm bit the greatest lover of lamb but when it's studded with garlic it's a winner. Mrs. G gets her Christmas feast at last.

Watching Celebrity Catchphrase drinking tea and eating Roses. It's all our poor minds can cope with at the moment.

We are recovering from melting faces in Raiders of the lost ark.

Edit ... my brain and body is officially cheese.
