Or, we can admit we don't know what happened in that particular incident but we can still discuss things based on what we actually do know.

Tate has an incalculable number of hours of video online of him being a loud and proud misogynist. Tate being a misogynist is simply indisputable.

Sure. We can't know the motivation of the woman you mentioned in your previous post. And Tate being a misogynist is hardly in dispute.

Well, given what Tate has been arrested for, and the Romanian courts granted an extra 30 days in prison, we can have a reasonable discussion about the claims of the woman in the tape, along with the other women that have come forward.

Tate himself has bragged about how lackadaisical Romanian authorities usually are towards such cases.

Yeah of course. Pretending to know if he did it or not (or if there will be enough evidence to successfully prosecute) is silly.

I was responding to the poster who said he did all the stuff he's accused of. That wasn't discussing the topic. It was concluding on the topic without any hope of having the necessary information.

I get the joke, but making light of prison rape is pretty silly given the crimes he's accused of. Rape is either a serious crime, or it isn't. I'd consider them both pretty serious crimes and I'd consider compassion for rape victims is appropriate.

Just read that two more women have come forward from the UK with allegations going back to 2015.

Police getting criticised as they don’t seem to have handled the reports correctly or in a timely manner.

I always wondered where Tate’s wealth came from it makes sense now.

Not going to end well for him.

  • I’d have about as much compassion for Tate if he’s raped in prison following a conviction (if that happens, to keep you happy) than I would for a pedophile who met the same consequences.

Fcuk em. Taste of his own medicine.

I wonder if that be part of the Romanian investigation or will it be a separate uk investigation? If they were related then it would strengthen the case against him. One stronger case would be better than two weaker cases.

Its rather fascinating how Internet people love to hate Tate, and how he has monetized that, most people never heard of him before he got cancelled, then everyone had to listen to what one actually has to say in order to get "cancelled".

I'm not really a fan of him as a person, but his trolling skills are admirable and he winds up the finger waggers who are easily offended which is a plus in my book. I guess this is kinda like the Coronation Street or Eastenders of the modern era.

Yeah absolutely. Politics has turned into entertainment. Wrestling going back to the Mexicans, has always been a soap opera dealing with social issues. We call social issues 'culture wars' nowadays but the principle is the same. There's a topic with champions on either side. You get to support the good goodie or the baddie.

It's a strange quirk of human nature that some people prefer to support the baddie (I think the baddies are called heels in the wrestling industry). Tate is a heel. Obviously a baddie and gets loads of support.

I’m not sure if the ship has sailed for the UK as CPS decided not to prosecute (in 2019). The allegations are the same as the ones now,

don’t think this will be the last of the allegations somehow.

it s also said that the police investigation is the real reason he was taken out of big brother in 2016. So the producers let someone in, who was being investigated for sexual assault. Surely that’s not in the best interests of the other participants.

  • ah to be fair it can’t surprise me to find out the producers of big brother of all shows may not be entirely morally sound.

I mean.. they watch people sleep? And every argument between “housemates” is clearly orchestrated by the producers for the drama. If everyone just gets along they’ll lose viewers.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,943 ✭✭✭✭anewme

Yes you are right - the whole thing is not that morally sound. They've had to back pedal on a lot of the treatment of people on reality shows, ie mental well being etc.

Knowingly putting in a contestant under investigation for sexual assault is pretty reckless though.

Well he's trolled himself into porridge anyway.

Saw a video the other day where an American criminal defence lawyer outlined how Tate's own video and YouTube appearances prove the elements of the people trafficking and sexual exploitation criminal cases.

He self-snitched on himself in the grandest way possible. Like all narcissists he overestimated his own intelligence and underestimated the Romanian coppers who wanted him in cuffs after he mocked them.

You don't get arrested by the Romanian police for trolling.

  • No it’s an absolute disgrace if true. I just wouldn’t be surprised sadly

I’m still waiting for the puritan finger waggers to start blaming all porn and cam girl consumers collectively because now someone else will be providing the required material.

You do know what he's actually accused of, right? Or is that kind thing ok as long as he an entertaining troll?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Sure. He was "owning the libs" hence his behaviour is irrelevant. c.f. Trump, Musk etc.

    I'm not sure I follow.

In any case, it hasn't happened yet so bang goes your theory.

You missed out, that's when it started to get good.

It was a nine month investigation. Why do you think police track a gang for nine months and then act? Because they have no evidence? They were investigating whether the suspects created a criminal group in 2021 to engage in human trafficking in Romania, the United States and Britain. Then they were tipped off of a development by the American Embassy after a phone call they received.

Six women are providing witness accounts. Two witnesses is damning. Six? What don't you get? Is that necessary information?

One woman alone was bringing in 50,000 grand on OnlyFans and was never paid by the Tates. What are you misunderstanding or waiting for? The process is it?

They focused on vulnerable women from Romania and Moldova who had no one. Then they got sloppy and scammed an American woman. She contacted someone close to her who contacted the American Embassy.

There are three charges - rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime group.

One of the gang is actually a former Romanian police officer who left to become a cam model.

Andrew Tate was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and physical abuse in 2015 while he and his brother were running a webcam sex business out of the UK. Police mishandled the case and he went to Romanian.

    To quote:

A second woman, whom we’re calling “Helen,” said she was “happy something has been done, but not completely hopeful, as he’s walked free from his sexual assaults before.”

“I have been very frustrated by the British police and court system for a long time, they could have stopped him from doing the exact same abuse to these women in Romania,” she said. Helen’s identity is also being withheld to protect her from harassment and trolling by Tate’s supporters.

    End quote.

But yeah. Keep talking about Mexican wrestling... that must be some reality you're living in.

    To quote a Vice article:

Channel 5 said at the time that Tate had been removed from the Big Brother house because of “information which came to light.” Press reports linked his ousting from the house to a video that had surfaced of him slapping his ex-girlfriend, and then beating her with a belt – a narrative that Tate himself would later encourage. Public outrage eventually simmered down after Tate released a video of his ex saying it was all part of a consensual kinky game.

But what the public didn’t know, and what VICE World News can now report, is that – contrary to claims at the time – the real reason Tate was removed was due to the sexual assault and physical abuse investigation that had been shared with producers five days prior.

Asked about its handling of the complaint, Banijay UK, which owns Endemol Shine, the production company behind Big Brother, said that after being informed by police of their investigation on 8th June 2016, it “began a process of extensive consultation with Channel 5, and legal teams, including the lawyers representing Andrew Tate.” The company said that Tate was “closely monitored at all times” during this period, while they sought to clarify the detail required by Channel 5 on the police investigation, before he was removed from the house on the 13th of June.

Sally and Helen spoke exclusively to VICE World News because they say they want the world to know the true extent of Tate's abusive and exploitative behaviour, especially as the British-American kickboxer – known as the “king of toxic masculinity” – has in recent months become one of the most Googled names on the planet.

I'm not sure if you were the poster I was responding to. We're you rh one who wasn't so much discussing the facts we have as concluding the outcome?

In any case, you've outlined the accusations. We all know that. Accusations don't make someone guilty. I'll just wait for the police and the courts to decide what happens balecause they're the ones with most information.

Why does everyone seem to forget that accusations are just accusations when it's against someone they don't like, but remember that again when they're made against someone they do like? I'll just wait for more informationand let the court decide. It's not my (or your) job to jump to a conclusion. So relax.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,240 ✭✭✭evolvingtipperary101

No conclusions are being jumped to.

There's historic and current evidence. People are presented by prosecutor's evidence even before court begins. A book of evidence is gathered on a history of criminal behaviors', and the amount of evidence being stacked up, that's pretty standard practice.

If you want to wait for an outcome, do that. I'll come to my own conclusions based on what's out there if I so wish.

I commented on that this morning.

Shocking that the producers left him in the big brother house with others knowing he was under investigation for sexual assault.
