New tv and soundbar

Hi,

I am looking for a new tv for my parents but the space it will go into is very restricted in space. The max width would be 91cm wide which I think would allow up to a 40" tv.

Other than that just something that is easy to use interface and can have Netflix etc on it.

I would also like a soundbar which is good and enhancing the speech, that again would fit into the same space.

Hi should add aiming around the € 500 mark for the tv but room to move on that. For the soundbar would like not to have a separate sub woofer, room is small so it's mainly for the speech clarity.

There really are very very few 40" available to us unfortunately.

In fact at the moment the only 40" are from Hisense and can not be shipped into the ROI unfortunately.

Above a 40" you are into 43" like the Philips 43PUS7906 priced at 399 Euro but it is 96cm in width

Below a 40" you are dropping right down to 32".

There are a few 42" OLED but starting at 995 Euro

Thanks for the quick reply. Is it a case that you're just low in stock or has the market just moved away from that size of tv?

Between the Philips and the Hisense which would be the better tv? I could potentially collect the tv in store so delivery isn't a deal breaker.

Hi Idl_84.

It seems most manufacturers have went away from the 40" size. Samsung, Panasonic and Sony all used to have a 40" but have moved to the 43" over the last few years.

Personally the Philips for me would be the better television.

The issue with the Hisense is that we can not offer any serving of them in the ROI should any issues arise and it would need returned back to us here in Belfast.

The Hisense televisions and also no longer part of our VIP 6 year guarantee so they only come with a 2 year manufacturers warranty.

I could potentially go to a 43" inch size but the tv would need to be able to be mounted to a cantilever mount.

If I was to go 43" what would you recommend in the size of a tv?

The models above that Kenny had recommended like the Philips 43PUS7906 would be a great option as they have a lot of features for the money:

The absolute best would be the LG OLED42C24. Nothing touches an OLED panel for natural colour, brightness and motion:
