Why is there no requirement for transparency in chipper chips bag sizes?

A “big” in one chipper could be a “small” in the other.

Why aren’t chippers obliged to state the quantity of each in grams?

Likewise in coffee shops? I probably buy one or two a year (if even). WTF is tall, grande and venti? Just say the damn size in millilitres for Christ sake.

You don’t need transparency. Just open the top and you can see right in.

this works equally well for 35ml, 50ml and 125ml bags

Been worried about this level of price discrimination since the last century.

It's a phucking disgrace what is going on out there. Comsumers being ridden up the hole altogether. Been getting it for too long it seems, they are numb to change?

Sizes differ, prices differ, so what? We know which are best value or taste better. Coffee and chips aren't a standardised product. Every location has their own unique element in some shape, size, or form.

I said the WEIGHT. Quickly throw them into a scales. A small should be at least 200 grams, a medium 300g and a large 400 g (or whatever).

Whatever about chippers not doing it, it’s absolutely criminal that coffee shops don’t state the volume of their coffees.

I never said the number of chips (which is also a quantitative value).

Chip shops are, for the most part independent businesses. They are not required to standardize their product or give you a weight. What next? How much does my xxl donner kebab weigh? Its not exactly an exact science.

Proof of a WUM if ever one was needed. OP now opens a thread complaining he can't add his own vinegar in a chipper even though that would mean non standardised quantities of vinegar being used.
