    There is a massive difference though Trump was president and Biden was not. One had documents in a secure location the other never even knew where they were, a bit like his son with his laptop.

    Get up the yard with this. TFG wasn't, actually, POTUS when he shipped the files to Florida. And he wasn't POTUS when he denied it, then lied about it, then got his lawyers to lie about it, then got his lapdog judge to slow down the investigation. He's still lying about it.

    A. Those seven years are not Biden's responsibility, its the national archive

    B Trump cannot declassify those documents with his mind in any shape or form, there is procedures and documents to be filled out and stamped.

    C. I'm still waiting for what proof you have about the Chinese funding those that Biden foundation which you claimed was the case.

    D. You most certainly are not objective, if you were you'd have the same outrage for Trump and his documents, which I just checked on the trump thread and you're curiously absent on the subject, let alone as frothing at the mouth as you are here. A modicum of critical thinking would dictate you're solely political in your outrage

    You'd think that with Trump's documents saga in mind, Biden's staff would have gone through everything to make sure he didn't get into similar hot water.

    Or maybe it's the case that it's not all that unusual for classified documents to be stored in these kinds of locations.

    How people haven't grasped the simplest of simple facts that the documents not being returned was never the issue with Trump, it was the failure to return when asked and the "obstruction" to the process that is the crime.

    The authorities wouldn't have given two hoots if he had of handed them back over when asked.

    He didn't.

    Biden is.

    Is that clear enough?

    FYI - using the name "Brandon" when talking politics is akin to someone asking to be taken seriously in a debate while calling someone a "poo poo head".

    To address the point you seem to be making (again), Trump lied about what documents he had when asked and refused to hand them over. Do you think that is the same as someone disclosing them voluntarily and handing them over voluntarily? If so, I would hope you are never called to jury duty...

    This is the key point.

    It's not the "having" of the documents that is the real problem , it's the "keeping" that is the offence.

    Now - I will say that there may be questions to ask about when those documents went there.

    In other words the chain of custody from when Biden was VP to when he took that role at the University - That might be a potential issue and needs to be investigated.

    But the idea that this is somehow the same as Trump lying repeatedly about having the documents and still continuing to assert that they are his property is beyond laughable.

    I know you are only joking but don't 😀. Leave the loony conspiracy theories to the trump/GQP brigade and their tinfoil-lined red hats. Somebody posted "Oh this is in a way, WORSE than trump". Biden's team identifying, reporting and returning documents is somehow WORSE than trump's team identifying, refusing to return, hindering subsequent federal officers assigned to return suspect documentation, and HIDING documentation. Because trump used his mind-powers to declassify them as they lay in his golf resort....

    But don't worry, JFK Jnr will sort this out when he is trump's VP in 2024

    I think one of the bigger problems is not the fact that people are equating this with Trump's situation or even saying that it's worse.

    It's the fact that this is being allowed under the radar BECAUSE of the Trump stuff.

    I'm not a trump fan and certainly not a Biden fan but the fact is, this type of security breach shouldn't be dismissed as "not as bad as trumps".

    Comparing the current administration against the last seems to be a get out of jail free card that is used an awful lot.

    Biggest shock is CNN reporting it now and the files were classed as top secret. The word "Ukraine" keeps popping up all over the place with this family, far too much of a coincidence when you think about it.

    A big concern would be if indeed they were relating to Ukraine, due to Biden's unfortunate "son of a bitch" anecdote and his son's inexplicable placement in a position relating to the country.
