Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The pension thing will likely be someone who got the non-contributory pension, which is issued with the condition that you reside in the country something like 48 weeks out of the year.

A full-on contributory pension, they don't care where you live.

    Good point caller.

I've no doubt Sudan and South Sudan are pretty much kips but he sounds like an economic migrant. There are legal channels to do that. He hasn't mentioned civil strife (which there is continuously there) or a threat to his life at all.

If the government informed people about what's going on, you wouldn't have the extreme lefties coming in and whipping up a scaremongering frenzy!! But the government refuse to say anything other than the usual "Ukrainian Women and Children" as bus loads of men pull up to hotels!!

I came to Ireland for the its lovely people and scenery.

To say you are fleeing persecution needs to be challenged again and again and again. People are copping on to the thick lazy Irish civil servants who are deciding to let these people in. Everyone knows that the UK has decided to send people to Rwanda, and we're getting them all now

'Why did you 'choose' Ireland to 'flee' to?

I can answer that - because of NGO's and our govt dopes.

PS Kudos at least to Joe for asking the question.

WEhy did you pick (!) Ireland amongst all of the countries.

'Because Ireland is known for...' mmm

I think him using the term "majority" at this stage of the game is well off, I think its the minority that are still welcoming in "asylum seekers"... I just hope Joe lets a crazy lefty on.... could be gold

Joe didn't get an answer when he asked his travel route to get from Sudan to Dublin.

I assume a tonne of safe countries till he got to the top of the shopping list.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,025 ✭✭✭✭2smiggy

remember when Peter Casey got all the votes, apparently that was a protest vote, not a vote against travellers !! plenty of people in the country have no interest in the country being over run by akmeds

Not making them live in tents beside ports or selling them on to Rwanda as if they are a commodity.

It's halfwit clowns like Con who will have this country destroyed. We need an Australian style of immigration

I wonder does his 'fear' in a Ballymun hotel room eclipse his 'fear' in the Sudans?

Funny how that akmed chancer wouldn’t answer any awkward questions about how he got to Ireland ....hmmmm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,619 ✭✭✭archfi

Definitely sounds like an economic migrant so.

Everything is covered by the egregious 'International Protection' ruse.

There are many African countries he could have fled to if his life was in danger surely.

This is the bit I don't get.

And for the avoidance of doubt for the hair trigger racist spotters amongst the board, I have no truck with shouting 'get out and 'go home'
