Not trivial but the amount of dirty bastard paedophiles that have abused children in this country for years. Just heard about another one there on the radio, convicted of abusing boys in Terenure college.

The amount of these barbaric fukers that went into jobs like teaching, the priesthood, the scouts etc., to gain access to children and the lack of proper protection of children was and is disgusting.

Nothing wrong with it at all, but it seems a bit retro in this day and age(and I will prob forget to look it up hour by hour as well)

Not trivial either but I know of two businesses in 2 separate local villages forced to close this week because of astronomical energy bills.

Great work, Government! Fighting for the life blood of already declining small businesses...

    Not!

I had to come back to search for this as you replied above. Why don't you just charge the phone at 2%. I was like you back in the olden days of mobile phones. I used to call up 1741(or what ever the number was) to kill the battery so it would elongate the battery life but I'm more wiser now and just charge when I feel as in going out somewhere even with 50% I would charge it up(I have a fast charge phone) so I will have a lot of charge in case I need it.

So, there's an author called Richard J Evans who wrote a wonderful book on nineteenth century Europe. I'm tempted to pick up his trilogy on his specialist subject: the Third Reich. I search "Richard J Evans" on Amazon and go to the author's page and there's almost nothing there. I google it and it turns out I should have searched for "Richard J. Evans".

a family member joined an active age type fitness class at the new community center a few months back…. Called up a neighbour to offer a lift on account of the weather to be informed by said neighbour .. “ ohhh did you not hear, it’s cancelled ! Because of the weather “ she enquires how the neighbour heard… “ social media “

considering it’s an indoor class, how can a bit of wind and rain cancel a class ? that is happening indoors ? The practitioner lives about 2 kilometres away in a busy suburban area so it can’t be fallen trees… if they were driving in from Tallaght you’d have some empathy…

considering the certified practitioner has the contact phone number of each participant, would the professional idea not be to send a group WhatsApp…to the around 12-15 who attend “ sorry, I can’t make it today on account of not being arsed, fell out with my goldfish or I’m allergic to rain….”

I’m sure others made no thought to check and because of the age demographic in attendance, most wouldn’t be Twitter people, but sure grand have them make the effort in the pissing rain and stand outside a building …. The gobshîte would be fast enough to put his hand out for the cash when it suits him.

My dad's hearing. He has hearing aids but he got them about 8 years ago and hasn't had his hearing tested or the aids recalibrated since. His hearing has very, very clearly deteriorated massively in that time but he refuses to go and get sorted for some reason. He can't hear a fcuking thing so we've all to shout at him constantly and be blasted out of it by the TV.

Hurrying home from the bus stop, in the wind and rain, this evening, I met a guy walking a dog, on a lead. Dog on the inside of the path, him on the outside of the path, lead trailing on the ground between them.

I'm not sure where I was meant to go, if I had an umbrella maybe I could have taken off up into the air like Mary Poppins and not had to inconvenience him. At the last possible second he brought the dog to his side.

I think it's often down to actual stupidity - that kind of thing, as opposed to setting out to be obstructive and thinking that it's up to everyone else to get out of your way.

That attention seeking pr!ck Enoch Burke on the news every single day. I mean, with all the real news thats going on in the world, who the hell cares what some religious nutjob does in a private school day after day? Its bizzarre he gets so much media attention. I cant see any employer in this tiny dot of a country ever taking him on as a teacher after the complete show hes making of himself.

If i have to see his bockety walk into and court again (whats the deal with his legs) ill scream.

I’m experiencing the same with mine…. He worked with machinery for most of his life, about 35 years…before transitioning to an office in his latter 10 years of his career but not quick enough….his hearing … he’s basically deaf, and because of the nature of the damage he has been told by his audiologist that no hearing implant or aid will make any noticeable difference..

he also has bad arthritis so between that and the hearing …. doors get slammed, stuff gets slammed and talks louder then necessary and mishears people ..TV is also way too high, you’d think the football match was happening IN his sitting room 😳

TA when I go to google something but then get distracted by the trending topics listed by google....

.....then proceed to forget what I was originally supposed to google in the first place.......

Delveries that text you early morning saying "your delivery is on it's way" ...then 10 hours later, apparently it's still on it's way, from 5km away. (rollseyes)

After weeks of trying to get through to my uncle on the phone, he finally answered. He's a divil, only answers if he feels like it. Caught him the minute Countdown finished, I know his routine!

I can top that. Delivery driver on more than one occasion dropping off my package at a Centra garage. And I had to drive the 7 mins there and be lectured that it's not a post office. Delivery driver never contacted me until it was left there and he was gone.

I seem to have completely mislaid my Sony smart TV remote… the sky remote does 90% of everything but the TV remote has the Netflix button and when I get back tonight I was going to watch a film and chill…

The fück it went to, my guess is it was ‘borrowed’..

Edit : it was borrowed but recovered back in one of my drawers, why people who ‘borrow’ stuff don’t return it back where they got it. 😬

Starved when I got home, was dragged out on a call before I even got my coat off.

On the drive back I had the first bar of chocolate I've had in 8 days, feeling guilty about that I put myself off a health snack and decide on the pasta cheese in the freezer.

Its taken longer to cook that it should and its cauliflower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't like the taste or smell of it either.

Put cheese on the cauliflower and put it in the oven just enough to melt the cheese and it will be gorgeous.

I can't stand the "noise" they play on the RTÉ 2 player. The ads it replaces would probably be less annoying.

Had lunch today again in Burger King Nutgrove, eat in. Was eating with my back along a wall with cushioned pads. The rest of the wall and seating was free up to the Burger King Mall Window unto the main mall thoroughfare.

..I was just finishing my last morsel (being the belgian waffle dessert and icecream) when an older male also on his own, sat down beside me at the next table on the wall. ..these creatures behave the very same as on Dublin Bus.

I got up with my tray and dumped the packing into the bin, and left.
