Ryanair: Dublin to Tallinn route scrapped?

Got an email from Ryanair just now saying my flight from Dublin to Tallinn had been cancelled due to "commercial reasons". Had booked a fight out on June 26 and a return on 3 July. You can't book now beyond March. Nothing available after that. Seems the route has been scrapped.

Same here with my April flight. The Ryanair Customer Service say they don't know if this is permanent or temporary. Tallinn Airport don’t know either. I doubt it’s cancelled for good, though, it seemed like a fairly busy route. Will give it a few weeks to see if they bring it back.

Will be interesting to see if they reinstate it. The summer airlines schedule normally starts towards the end of March.

Air Baltic operated DUB-TLL at one point. Perhaps they'll return?

Ryanair are always doing this - either drastically reducing flights or pulling out of airports entirely when they have disputes over airport fees.

Frankfurt, Munich, Glasgow, Belfast International and Brussels are some recent examples that come to mind.

Tallinn recently increased fees and the CEO of the airport is putting it down to this.

It's absolutely fuked my friends visit here and my trip to their wedding in the summer which I already booked flights to.

There isn't any easy alternative.

Classic Ryanair tactics. Some places can survive but Estonia needs Ryanair more than the other way around. Hopefully a deal can be done in time. it’s usually when they see the impact on all the ancillary items (shops, bar, taxis, buses, car hire etc.) that they cave in and give FR what they want.

Pity, because Tallinn is a lovely city.

Yeah, no easy alternative alright. Ryanair do fly to Tallinn from London Stansted though. So that’s a possible plan B.

The flight times for Stansted are terrible. It would mean a 7/8 hour wait for changeover.

Yeah, that's not great alright. Another possibility might be to fly to Riga and then fly from there to Tallinn. For June for example there are flights (Air Baltic) at 07:35, 13:50, 20:05 and 23:15. Flight time is 50 mins.

That's the current plan but Im gonna hold off for now. I have plenty of time.

Anyone ever dealt with Ryanair cancellations. Am I entitled to book Shannon - Stansted - Tallinn or is it just 1 flight within the value of the cancelled flight ?
