Not quoting the post because the poster cannot respond but still, to answer the point.

... the Republican Party isn’t the reason Afghanistan is a cesspit.

Let me guess your counter argument. The socialist revolution wasn’t socialist. The Soviet invasion wasn’t an invasion by a socialist country because they weren’t socialist.

Something, something, look over there it’s the right.

Afghanistan is a cesspit for a number of reasons but you can't just say that it was one group in time (40+ years ago) that can be identified for the sole reason for this being the case.

What is affecting the people of Afghanistan today, and dramatically so, is the uber conservative mindset of those controlling the country. That is, fundamentally a right wing mindset.

More revelations in the neo Nazi attacks on the power grid. Woman admits to FBI that she conspired with Neo Nazi leader

Are Neo Nazis the type of moderate conservatives called out specifically by the OP?

I didn't call anyone out specifically.

Or do you need clarification of any distinction between Neo Nazis and moderate conservatives?

  • Registered Users Posts: 82,906 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

I don't see 'moderate'- anything being specified in the OP?

I know it's confusing but when the far right was mentioned previously in the thread the OP stated that they weren't talking about the far right, I see above they're saying they didn't call out anyone specifically and refused to confirm who they were talking about previously so moderate conservatives seem like the target of their ire.

    Glazers Out!

When I mentioned neo nazis and these power grid attacks previously in the thread, also, you didn't call out the OP or moderate republicans or anyone specifically - so why now? What's the deflection?

    The thread moves quickly sometimes.

I didn't see you mention this before so that's why I didn't say anything.

Well, I know it's confusing, but I did mention it previously in the thread.

I've repeatedly said, like every few days it seems, what I see the issues are that most affect most of us and why such issues exist and who is largely responsible for them doing so. Repeatedly.

You should have a read of post #3280, it was in response to you and there's a question there for you which is even more appropriate now.

All this being said, of course Neo-Nazis are a problem. Does that have to be stated?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,427 ✭✭✭SafeSurfer

You say this woman admitted to the FBI that she conspired with a Neo Nazi leader. You made it sound like a confession

It would be more accurate to say that the FBI alleges they have a source who recorded her conspiring with a Neo Nazi leader.

    They have receipts.

Clendaniel was recorded telling an FBI source on Jan. 29 that she planned to shoot up energy substations ringing the Baltimore area, including in Norrisville, Reisterstown and Perry Hall, and sought to acquire firearms to carry out the attacks.

Your suggestion would not be more accurate no. Notice, no 'allegedly?'

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,427 ✭✭✭SafeSurfer

I agree with you that one can’t say Afghanistan is a cesspit because of one group at one time. This is exactly why I responded to the poster claiming it was all due to the GOP.

The socialist revolution in 1978 and subsequent Afghan Soviet war led to the creation of the modern Afghan Mujahideen. This was a reaction to the imposition of socialist policies on conservative, religious tribes and regions.

The socialist Afghan government fell in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union. An Afghan civil ensued which saw the Taliban come to power.

Contrary to popular belief the main backers of the Mujahideen were not the US but private and charity funders, mainly from the Middle East. The US spend $2,260 billion on infrastructure projects in Afghanistan including the building of universities which women could attend for the first time in a generation.

You claimed the woman admitted to the FBI that she conspired with a Neo Nazi leader.

You make it sound like she made a confession to the FBI.

Turns out she was recorded by an FBI informant.

It would be the equivalent of you claiming Gerry “the Monk” Hutch had admitted he took part in the Regency shooting to the Gardai.

He didn’t. A Garda informant recorded him.

Do you not see the the difference between what you claimed and the facts?

I mean- you're right, a confession would have been cooperating with the FBI, and I certainly wouldn't want to accuse her of doing that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,427 ✭✭✭SafeSurfer

    Admit

confess to (a crime or fault, or one's responsibility for it).

"he was sentenced to prison after admitting 47 charges of burglary"

"I mean- you're right, a confession would have been cooperating with the FBI, and I certainly wouldn't want to accuse her of doing that."

I feel like I already addressed this and I am not sure why the atrocious wall of code or the need to clarify further, as I already stated, your last post was correct, and I do not wish it to be misunderstood that she confessed to the FBI or imply that she is providing cooperation with investigators.

One of the wonderful side effects of citing most everything I post that is a matter of fact(s), is that the source itself provided the necessary and direct clarifications which allowed you to quickly adjudge for yourself if what I said was merely an embellishment or a misunderstanding. I believe if I was up to misleading people I would have put significantly more roadblocks between reader and the source of my prose.

Alex Jones going full foghorn today…

    …Stochastic violence tomorrow?

Makes it fully clear that if not for a “deep connection to god” his apparent desire is to “take part in wiping out the brown people, the Black people,” but only for a fear of losing some godly connection, does not.

    Title of the thread again.

This is the full context of what he said.

So I don't like the big giant African hoards being brainwashed against us and the left programming brown people to hate white people. It's all part of a plan, folks. It's all part of a very sophisticated plan and I don't just study history. I don't just study the New World Order. I have the holy spirit. Doesn't mean I'm a perfect vessel, far from it. But I do have deep connection to God and God tells me that if I take part in wiping out the brown people, the Black people, that I will be cut off from God. We’re supposed to lift each other up.

Now that doesn't mean when a gang of racist, foaming at the mouth Black people come to rape, rob, or kill you, which is just, it's out of control right now, that you don't defend yourself and kill every person you need to protect your family if they're attacking you.

The first paragraph is nothing more than evidence for plausible deniability for some court case later when he is being accused of inciting violence, which it is clear is what he is doing.

And also at work here is his planting the seed that future mass migration from Africa will be part of a plan rather than the consequence of environmental catastrophes which is likely to be the case.

On your comment about the thread title, that's it really, this guy has a massive following and his talking points spread through conservative networks pretty deeply. While there's plenty who dismiss him, when you have people getting outraged about trans people reading books to kids with their parents in the same room while this guy is carrying on as he is, and as he has done then they are clearly focused on the wrong thing.

You're making money for him spreading his crap.

Happening in Ireland too. Far right grifting makes a lot of money.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

It always comes back to Nazism for these people. Always and without fail.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Happeny place compared to far left grifting which also has the approval of the establishment so respectability is lavished on the tax payer skim

Can you give us an example of this Far Left Grifting that is advocating the slaughter of people and looking to make money on the back of it?

Or Far Left grifting that is putting people directly in harms way as it denounces medical science in various ways?

Or Far Left grifting that is looking to undermine electoral democracy?

Because I can give you right wing examples of these right off the bat along with Mr Jones above.

    https://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/letters/nwci-and-freedom-of-speech-1.4595239

TENI, Amnesty Ireland, NWCI, and a bunch of other NGOs called for people standing up for their rights to be denied legitimate political representation, for "sharing bigoted beliefs" such as "believing in biology".

    Are you serious?

we have an armada of far left NGO outfits peddling open borders and other agendas detrimental to the Irish people

RTE ( on their weekly flagship question time style show) last night had a race hustler from the “ far right observatory “ in the audience giving a five minute uninterrupted monologue about the “ hate agenda “

this outfit is run by one Mark Malone , a Marxist unemployable loser who earns a living off the tax payer playing a 1971 style East German Stasi goon online by snooping on people’s FB views

the trans position is fixed in Irish law and has been since 2015, you'll have to do better than that false flag.

If there's an Armada of NGO's advocating for open borders you should be able to give us a link to them doing so. When you're ready.
