Always seen them with the full band and full electric.

Don't think I'd bother with an acoustic set tbh.

Only just noticed this thread, great idea!

For anyone interested in discovering new original acts there’s a monthly night on the first Wednesday of each month in the Balor theatre in Ballybofey called the Ghostlight sessions. The music is usually of a really high standard & has a good mix of local acts & those from around the country. It’s a nice intimate setting & it’s cheap in, id highly recommend it!

Disturbance Festival & Distorted Perspectives ( The Central & Regional Culture Centre)

This looks like it could be a great one day festival for fans of alternative rock in Letterkenny. Really looking forward to it! Info below.

    Saturday July 20th

Distorted Perspectives in partnership with Disturbance present a day-long festival of contemporary international psychedelia, punk and independent music with staggered sets throughout the evenings across two Letterkenny venues.

Headlined by one of Ireland’s finest artists, the intense and hypnotic The Altered Hours are joined by London-based Cowboy Flying Saucer, Donegal’s own Aul Boy, the esoteric anti-pop of The Barbiturates, plus the Distorted Perspectives DJs and visuals by F12 at the Regional Cultural Centre.

Headliners at Disturbance are London’s NWOBHM legends Girlschool, frequently associated with contemporaries Motörhead, alongside top Irish acts such as Junk Drawer, Scally, Wild Rocket and Podracer. Disturbance will host two stages from 2pm through to 2am at The Central and No.58, Letterkenny

I saw Scally at Vantastival at the weekend. They put on a great show! The frontman is a class act

Gotta say I really enjoyed this. Was a nice setup with some really good bands throughout the day. The turnout wasn't amazing but hopefully it'll be back next year and grow from strength to strength. Great to see Letterkenny have an alternative scene!
