France well on top in this match and on the way to a bonus point.

We win tomorrow for the slam

Don't think it'll matter who they select, we should be well able to take them apart.

  • Registered Users Posts: 995 ✭✭✭Ragwort and Stones

It depends on injuries tomorrow, and who they are. We've nothing won yet.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,091 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

England's lineout has gone haywire. Better off taking the points.

This is the crux. England have no combination of players and gameplan available to them, that beats our players and gameplan.

Next week could well eclipse the 2007 scoreline.

Oh, for sure, but even with a couple of injuries, we should be well able - this England team's defense is nothing special. France look like they're going to score every time they're in the 22.

This TV3 commentary is dreadful. Have watched rugby for quite a while but am still often confused by the rules. Why can’t the commentators explain more clearly as to the reason for referees decisions. For example, what does “changing the bind “ mean? No explanation from the commentators.

It's like England are playing without a back row. Their ruck protection is abysmal.

Itoje is as much of a passenger as Smith

England's backrow has been awful. Ludlum in particularly has been a penalty machine. Dombramdt makes so little ground for a big man. Their French counterparts have been dominant.

Could be a long long evening for England here. They are rudderless really.

England are a shambles at this moment in time.

Genge is at the bargaining stage.

Borthwick must be regretting leaving high flying Leicester for this crap.

    Marcus Smith having another mare.

France are so good to watch, the best in the world.

England, like I said, are absolutely crap and are being taken back to the stone ages by Borthwick.

We'll dismantle England next week for the grand slam. I am so confident of it.

Ireland will destroy England next week....they will put 50 points on them....easily.

Farrell needs to come on. England's attack hasn't functioned at all. It's hard when your pack is getting battered, but Smith hasn't impressed. H

Even allowing for Genge being captain, he must be walking a tightrope with O’Keefe at this stage.

  • Registered Users Posts: 827 ✭✭✭farmingquestion

I think France are more entertaining to watch. We edge them on technicals and big moments... Just

But France with the ball they're so creative and able to get the offloads away.

Fascinating half of rugby, in particular the implications for Ireland's tournament.

England playing on France's terms - France are dominating the collisions (despite the best efforts of Genge who is playing very well) and the breakdown is falling in their favour as a result. England not competing in sufficient numbers so can't hang onto the ball generally but in particular in the French 22.

Borthwick talked extensively about the kicking battle in the build up and it's certainly been advantage France in a half with lots of kicking. Add to that the French scrum getting on top and England have no platform into this game - by the looks of things they've gone into this game with the wrong tactics.

France probably will start to wilt in the last 20 but if England don't get a few early scores then France will close this out without much hassle.

France getting the BP puts them on 15 alongside us and chances are they'll eat into our points difference a good deal.

More pressure now tomorrow on Ireland, will need to have a similarly dominant performance to leave us in the best possible position for next week.

Don't think it matters for Ireland. They are playing to win every game, they won't even care about this result.

Good read of the situation, I'd think. Too many counting chickens here.

France answering their critic’s, sign of a quality team.

Aldritt, Ollivon, Dante & DuPont having massive game’s.

Most posters have showed incredible bias against Wales who deservedly beat a poor Italy side. Why the hate for Wales?

Farrell isn't what you need when you're 24 points down at half time.

You need to retain possession and create, not kick and press.

If he does come on, I'd imagine it will be at 12, and make little difference

Genge looking confused that he is getting pinged for not scrummaging straight. It’s a joy to watch.
