Only had 1 spin . But liking it so far.

The title track I Play My Bass Loud is a great album opener.

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue

Not really a jazz buff and didn't even know this was considered by many the greatest jazz album of all times. But one track came through on my phone via shuffle and I restarted the album and stayed on it. And it was like meditation, unreal album.

Took me years to appreciate Miles Davis and I got my first Charlie Parker album when I was 17. I particularly love the funky stuff he did in the early 1970's which is worlds away from the 1950's/1960's Kind of Blue first Quintet era.

I made the mistake of visiting some niche record shops in London over the weekend. My brother has the original bought when we were thrash kids but I just had to.

It's pretty good

I really like this album and the acoustic version is lovely too, with an extra even lovelier track at the end.

Asphalt Meadows - Death Cab for Cutie

Lankum album is excellent. Be surprised if it's topped in 2023.
