Mudguard recommendations

Called into Cycle Superstore last Friday and couldn't find any mudguards that suited my bike Cannondale CAAD Optimo 1 Road Bike - Road Bikes - Cycle SuperStore

I had the SKS Raceblade Pro Stealth Series for a year or so but started to have a lot of issues with the back one slipping onto the wheel so much so that it got damaged and started to become very dangerous. I just want something that will offer decent coverage for Irish weather but I don't want to have similar issues as I mentioned before and would like something somewhat slimline and easy to fit if possible.

Any ideas?? I don't have a clue what to go for at this stage!

A quick look online suggests that frame has mudguard mounts. If so, you are better off with a set of bolt on mudguards like SKS Bluemels. These can be annoying to fit but should stay in place much better once you have installed them.

As above, definitely go for bolt on ones. I've been happy with Bontrager NCS.

Thanks for the replies lads. Ill have to look again online cause so many of them look like **** an auld one would have on there bike haha. The ones i had where grand looked nice enough just the roads in Dublin didn't agree with them!

Not familiar with them myself but from the review they seem decent. Personally the straps hanging out would annoy me.

My bike doesn't have mounts so I've gone for the Crud Roadracer mk3. They attach via velcro patches on the inside of the stays/fork. So can be removed without much fuss. Have only been on 1 quick spin with them but so far so good.

The previous sks clip ons I had also had the straps but wasn't really an issue.

Seen these in shop looked really light just wondered would cause movement or noise?

There is a bit of rattling if you are on a particularly bumpy surface.

So I'm gonna go with the SKS Raceblade long watched a few videos and read plenty of reviews seems a good option hopefully no issues with clearance!
