Issues for previous KBC mortgage customers

Hello, issue flagged on RTÉ 6pm news on 11 April. Apparently some problem for KBC customers who had mortgages transferred to BOI recently, which may impact credit scores.

Can you advise as to what exactly the issue is? How I can identify if I'm impacted? When will it be resolved? And if BOI will provide paperwork to confirm credit score is not negatively impacted?

I see nothing on the BOI website mentioning this, which would also be helpful.

The error occurred at the point some customer's mortgage loan transferred from KBC to BOI which resulted in some mortgage “start date” being incorrectly input into our systems. Please be assured that if you were impacted, we would have been in touch with you.

I was direct debited by kbc and still waiting for payment to be applied by boi on my transferred mortgage. No apology so far for putting me into arrears
