Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Terrible ref. Game ruined

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,179 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

FFS! The ref doing his best to help Man City. That's such a harsh penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,716 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

More than a bit selective the vision on this ref

Probably justice done. Ref should be swapped out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,507 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

Could be argued his arm moved downwards after being effectively wiped out of it by Pavard at the last second.

    Life in Bayern yet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,086 ✭✭✭trashcan

    And Haaland misses 😀😀😀

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,179 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Justice done. Haaland blazed it over for a point. 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,175 ✭✭✭Xander10

    Justice, a kane like miss

This ref has money on an Upa red

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,700 ✭✭✭mobydopy

Bayern are so poor in the final third, they need a goal before half time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,123 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

Bayern so obviously short a forward.

I've never seen a team so quick in transition and so slow to get a shot off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

sane prob should have hit the deck there, but bayern are fair useless in and around the box

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

and sane with a weak ass effort from like 35 yards. pass the fecking ball

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,607 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

It’s a penalty. Bayern defender had his arm up away from his body. Damien Delaney and a few on here saying it’s “harsh”. It’s the correct decision. “Harsh” or otherwise.

A penalty and a red card that then had to be reviewed and rescinded... 2 minutes added

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,175 ✭✭✭Xander10

Has a ref ever been brave enough to give a keeper a second yellow for time wasting?

They miss the Pole to finish these chances

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,716 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

    2mins added on

Bit suss this. Suspect Bayern will have a goal disallowed tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

what a **** comedy of errors. how did they not score?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

ireland u16's or 17's in a peno shoot out a few years ago

ETA: actually that was a 2nd yellow for keeper being off his line i think

Only Gundogan should have been booked there for having a hissy fit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,503 ✭✭✭kowloonkev

    Real must be enjoying this.

Next Man City manager: You lot may all be internationals and have won all the domestic honours there are to win under Pep. But as far as I'm concerned, the first thing you can do for me is to chuck all your medals and all your caps and all your pots and all your pans into the biggest **** dustbin you can find, because you've never won any of them fairly. You've done it all by bloody cheating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,123 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

It was a penalty but one of those unfortunate accidental moments that people are happy didn't decide what has been a very exciting game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,609 ✭✭✭IncognitoMan

The fact something like that is seen as having to give a penalty is nuts.

Twice now the ref has made a good go at ruining a good game here.

Bayern really needed to be at least 1 up at HT really

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

was upamechao booked for the handball as well?

The ref has done nothing wrong in terms of those big decisions. The little **** that Rodri and co are getting away with though is just silly at this stage

Beautiful words from Brian there on the penalty

    Joycean

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

well i suppose if thats the rule, thats the rule. needs changing for an accidental handball

  • Site Banned Posts: 20,685 ✭✭✭✭Weepsie

What annoys me about the handball is that it doesn't count as shot on target now by Gundogan which I have bet on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,232 ✭✭✭TheRiverman

Haaland is not a good penalty taker.

Been a good game. Pity that it was 3-0 coming in from the first leg from a neutral perspective.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

so impotent in the final 3rd. get them some viagra

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,179 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

It's just typical of the tie. Bayern should have scored, didn't and City up the other end and do score. Unfortunate slip by Upamecano.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,175 ✭✭✭Xander10

    Upamaceno such an awful defender

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,086 ✭✭✭trashcan

Tie over. Hopefully Real do a number on City.

  • Site Banned Posts: 20,685 ✭✭✭✭Weepsie

I'd fancy Bayern would have had a better chance with Daly Blind playing either of these games as I think Uppameccano falling or doing something silly has caused them at least 3 goals.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

game over. upamecano not having a great game again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,123 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

Yep. Should have been braver and made a change at half time but it's too late now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,503 ✭✭✭kowloonkev

He makes Maguire look decent. Absolutely tragic player. I doubt he'll be at Bayern next season if they have any ambition.

Next Man City manager: You lot may all be internationals and have won all the domestic honours there are to win under Pep. Right so, what else is on?

I mean, City are obviously superior, but Upamecano has rendered this a non-contest over the two legs.

Pep should take Haaland off. Job done. He seems a little bit animated beating Bayern. The tie is over,Pep should take him out.

The best thing about the Haalland goal is the little flick. Bloody cyborg. He could take it around the defender and make it a harder shot, but that flick leaves him the whole goal and momentum for the shot

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭Garzorico

While Upamecano is not having a great game by any means the pitch did for him there. Bayerns groundsmen should hang their heads in shame.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

good man chopa, great strike, made ederson work

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,258 ✭✭✭✭y0ssar1an22

    LOL

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,607 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

Up the “pigmies”. Not sure they’ll like being referred to as that. Easy winners v Benfica who you were bigging up.
