Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Stamp 4 for spouse of UK National?

    Hi folks,

I'm trying to help a friend who has hit a wall regarding his wife's immigration status here. I'll lay out the facts as I know them below, but the primary question in all of this? Is can the wife of a UK national apply for stamp 4 whilst in Ireland or does it have to be an application for a spousal visa from outside the country?

My mate is English, but has Cypriot residency since pre 2019. His wife is Ukrainian also has Cypriot residency pre 2019.

He has been offered a job here, took up the offer and his wife was also offered a role within the company.

Now as his wife wasn't resident in Ukraine on 24th Feb 2022, she isn't entitled to the Ukrainian assistance scheme. Quite rightly tbh.

So it seems that she will need stamp 4/ spousal visa. Can that be applied for and sorted out whilst she is in the country? Or will she need to apply from outside the state?

Any steer on this will be very much appreciated as it is quite urgent. They have return flights for Monday that they'll take up if there is no way to get her status sorted from inside Ireland.
