    ~30pts ahead here, and in again after Si rattles #brown into jaws in baulk pocket - goes into reds

    ~40pts up, with 6 reds or so left

    #brown was difficult enough plain ball, but to whack it like that !!

    turning point imo

    They tried technology about a decade ago and it didn't really work as (similar to the likes of Hawkeye systems) it has a margin of error and the players themselves could see that the results were incorrect at times.

    I don't see it as a big deal myself really, the referee is still going to have to manually and carefully position the balls even if there was 100% correct technology. And then he'd still pause to make sure both players and the other official are happy. Not sure why it annoys people so much.

    Luca breaks down again. This frame is at Ronnie's mercy, reds nicely spread. Just one slightly tricky red, but that can be nudged out easily. It just not good enough from Brecel.

    Luca hitting the ball really well. I actually think playing Ronnie suits him. If Brecel played Higgins/Selby his head would be melted and he would get hammered.
