It just goes to show that there are connections in the garda to these organised criminal gangs. You would expect that considering the sums of money that can be paid and human nature. Corruption is always going to be an issue everywhere unfortunately. I personally would assume that there are much deeper links that haven't even come out yet and probably never will. You can see why these scrotes act like the law doesn't apply to them.

    It doesn't.

Listened to a podcast today that Paul Williams was on and he referred to Patrick Jnr as Patsy too so he must be called Patsy to certain people🤷‍♀️

Listening to Tallants podcast today and she talks about the dirty dozen. 6 gunmen, 6 others involved. But we have TAC 1,2 and 3. Man in drag and flat cap. That's 5. Who was the other gunman?

So van driver was also a gunman?? Cos thats what they're saying. The dirty dozen was 6 gunmen, 6 other involved. The same van driver apparently stuck a gun out the window at a Sunday World photographer too.

Alternatively might he have lost concentration/ made a mistake ? This is from rte.ie; the journalist has added in some words to put quote in context one of those is 'Patsy'. Dowdall refers to 'Pat'-

JD: "They (the cops) came in (to Patsy's house)… and they seen a bleeding Ford key right, so whatever cop put it down asked about the key, went out to the avenue checked every van, car the whole lot in the avenue for this Ford f**kin key, nothing was there for it."

GH: "He's thinking that could be off the f**kin Ford van."

JD: "Off the main van Transit right, so they f**ked off but they came back on the Thursday say."

GH: "And they had to prove what the car, and they went to the key technicians and they told them the Reg did they."

JD: "No. They never took the key, forgot to take the key, this is how stupid they are."

    GH: "Ah for f**ks sake."

JD: "Right so then they went back to Pat's, went in looking for the key, raided the gaff again, we're here for the key where's the key, he says I don't know what key you're talking about. He had a big box of bleeding keys."

    Who the most likely 6?

Flat cap, Patrick JR, Mago, Harry, KM and MB? The last two apparently weren't involved but I can't think of anyone else assuming JH and GH were just drivers

  • Registered Users Posts: 249 ✭✭Spencer101

Flat Cap, Patrick Junior have been arrested and there were legal proceedings re the first two (extradition hearing only for Flat Cap). Mago has been accused in the recent trial. Back in 2016/7 there were media reports where KM denied any involvement. MB died in 2016 so don’t recall all details but think his family denied in media he was involved. Some reports after his death may have suggested a logistics role and he wasn’t there on the day. But his Wikipedia page offers the comment ‘Michael Barr was cleared of any involvement in the murder of David Byrne in the Regency Hotel Dublin by the Garda.’

The photographers are quite lucky this week as they wander around the North Inner City and Clontarf looking for pictures of Gerry Hutch, Patsy Hutch & Del Boy. What exactly was Del Boy smoking in today’s picture ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 345 ✭✭40supple

only he wasn’t renting a house or flat in Buckingham st, Portland row or any other economic deprived drug ridden part of Dublin.

The house he rented was in the Paddocks a stone throw from Gerry’s family home in the leafy suburb of Clontarf

He was invited in for a drink and food by his landlady who he was friendly With and surname isn’t Hutch

He clocked Gerry in the house and being an idiot he went into work in GSOC and told a few people ‘I was in a house having a few drinks and food and Gerry H was there’ and the rest is history

if he had of kept his big mouth shut then no one would of been wiser about what he got up to the previous evening

Quite Possible. But if as innocent as just that why would he resign?

Regardless Gerry hasn't been convicted of any crime in a long long time. If i was Drew Harris or Simon Harris i would be more concerned about the complete set up of Hutch by the lead detectives than a cop going to a free mans party

Probably shît themselves they'd be seen and word would get to their superior before they opened their gob. Innocent perhaps but wanting a way out without getting the heave ho.

  • Registered Users Posts: 345 ✭✭40supple

There’s no ‘quite possible’ about it. That is what happened

Also he wasn’t a cop going to a party he was an employee of GSOC going to a party

the man is only in the country 5/6 years, prior to that he was a cop in his home country that’s not even in the European Union

Going back further but I believe Eamon Kelly, Gerry Hutch and Michael 'Peggy leg' McDonnell were suggested to have been behind the shooting of Gerard Morgan in 1982.

"Gerard Morgan (15) was shot dead as he came to the front door of his family home at 22 Lismore Road, Crumlin on 26 May 1982. It is believed that his older brother Alan Morgan (17) was the intended target. Alan had allegedly fallen out with a criminal gang over the missing proceeds of a bank robbery in Drumcondra in Feb. 1982. There had been a previous gun attack on the Morgan home on 9 March 1982 when five shots were fired."

The post was more so about the Monk's brother Neddy. The Monk has also as with recent posts been linked to death of Mel Cox and as per recent posts seems some on here argue another now deceased Hutch family member did that murder. Other deaths of those the Monk knew in 80s and 90s include Teasy Weasy McDonald, Paddy Shanahan and Gerry Lee. Monk 'worked' with the first and last one and Shanhan is said to have laundered his money so not sure if there was ever any accusations that he was involved. Williams' book on Monk suggested the murder of Shanahan interfered with joint investments.

Its been widely reported that the landlady is related to Hutch. Assumed as some reports suggested there was also a romantic relationship that was one of Monk's sisters/ sister-in-laws. The address/ road his siblings/ in-laws live on has been reported during the feud for one reason or other. Seems like the story about a romantic relationship is wrong or there is an age gap. There are people related to Monk in their 40s who don’t live with him but live in Clontarf. In any event still very strange story you rock into work having been a cop in America or wherever and instead of saying as per my previous post I am living in Buckingham Street you tell your colleagues in GSOC I am living in the Paddocks- if you worked in GSOC wouldn't you tell the foreign ex cop moving to Dublin ok there's a particular address there near where you are renting this is what you need to know...

The landlady is not related to Hutch. The GSOC officer didn't rent the house, he was a lodger, renting a room in the landlady's house, down the road from the Hutches. The landlady was friendly enough with the Hutches, as are quite a few people who live on the road, I hear. Not sure where the soiree was, though.

Fair enough assumed the likes of below were correct - ‘ This man is in his 60s. It has now been established he has a link to a close family member of Gerry Hutch. That is a concern and alarm bells have now been activated,” a source said.’

I wonder who's house got raided this am. Regency shooter according to indo

  • Registered Users Posts: 249 ✭✭Spencer101

Alleged shooter. On the basis of article today and multiple posts on here over the years it is one of the alleged TACs who has not passed away; is not presently in custody and has never been before the courts in relation to Regency. As per today’s article they are presently before the courts on a drugs charge.
