    He hasn’t really had much of a career, went pro in 2010 and if I’m not mistaken has made the last 8 of any tournament once in his 13 years as a pro (I’m excluding the Gibraltar Open). The definition of a journey man. He’s played well in this tournament, tonight’s session aside, and I’m struggling to understand where this form has come from.

    Ronnie has been very unconvincing so far, this match could of easily been 10-6 the other way on another day, Luca had so many chances, plus he's far too careless with his shots.

    Vafaei also, I no he beat him 12-2 but really that result flattered him, Vafaei totally imploded but he had lots of chances throughout.

    It has to be said he's had a very kind run in and if he beats Luca now, which he should, then next round couldn't really be any handier, SI or McGill I mean that is a dream semi for any of the big hitters.

    Ronnie is pretty much in the final now

    Still fancy him to win that, his record in world finals and experience plus he tend to play the table these days not the man

    Selby as always here a potential banana skin but I reckon he'd handle him too

    Coverage even more appalling this morning on BBC. Just over an hour shown. Off to the politics live programme again they go. Usually it's on at 12:15pm, but it's on for an hour longer today. That programme has more time than the snooker they showed this morning. They wouldn't do that to Ronald.

    Huge frame for Jak. He could have been buried. I'd still like to see Mark get into the final, but Jak seems a likeable fella. Hope either can take out the winner of the other quarter final, but it will be an uphill task.
