There is a fair chance that we don't win another game all season. The only reason we wont get relegated is that there are worse teams. Lampard has won something like 1 of his last 18 matches as manager and our run in is tough. What was Boehly thinking?

I would have been inclined to get Rodgers in until end of season instead. They are talking to Poch which is a good sign.

Sad place for a club legend to be in - Not sure he was wise to take it but I'm sure his bank manager would disagree 🤣

    When will it end!

We are genuinely only a few wins earlier in the season away from being in the relegation battle. This is abhorrant stuff.

I don't blame Frank but he's not the man to fix this bunch, I'm not sure anyone can make this lot play well together, they've just given up and dont have any spirit or drive and everything is just soooo slow

Makes the twitter posts earlier in the week from the official Chelsea account even worse. Showing the players training and banging in all kinds or worldies, rightly called out from commenters stating they could do with even a few tap ins in a real game at this stage

Some thoughts on some of the new signings this season -

    Fofana - bottom 6 defender

    Enzo - mid table plodder

    Mudryk - championship level

    Madueke - championship level

    Sterling - useless

    Koulibaly - jury is out

Manager - worse than useless, actually making the team worse. He should step away for his mental health, he looks broken (again).

The team as a whole - championship level. Worst team in the league by far.

You read it here first - Chelsea’s relegation will overshadow City’s league win on the last day of the season. I hope I am wrong but I cant deny the reality in front of my eyes, dropping like a stone.

Thought 39 points would've been enough to survive 😂

As I said earlier, I don't think we will win another match this season, but other teams wont either so we will be safe!

Lampard has 1 win in his last 19 games as manager now. Its time to sack him (again)

In all honesty what would be the point in sacking him at this stage before end of season.

Nobodies gonna get the players to give a damn for the last few games. It would just be sacking him for the sake of sacking him.

He should go/be sacked for his own sake. He looks like a dead man walking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,522 ✭✭✭Killinator

He probably hoped a turn around might give him a shot at a 2nd full time roll, obviously that ain't gonna happen now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,262 ✭✭✭bullpost

Yep - Hes the punchbag now until end of season . :Poch comes in then and turns it around most likely , though lot of dross to be gotten rid of for huge losses. But hey, Todd has deep pockets 😁

Leicester have to play West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton, while Leeds also face Bournemouth. Because they are all taking points off each other Chelsea will survive. Also, despite Frank's best efforts the boffins in the labs say

Chance of avoiding relegation this season with different points totals

    Points Chance of safety

    38 or more 100%

    37 99%

    36 94%

Good result there today for us in the battle to avoid the drop, super performance again. They showed the same urgency and desire they have all season and it's paid off.....

    Worst kept secret confirmed:

'Chelsea agree deal to appoint Pochettino as next head coach'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,836 ✭✭✭SureYWouldntYa

While not a fan of the Poch deal on the face of it, there is nobody else available who you could definitively say would be better

Nagelsmann perhaps but it seemed he turned us down

I think a return to Poch's preferred 4231 could suit a lot of our players

Ya not keen on the appointment.

Enrique was the more interesting choice to me it seemed he made demands which you want but the club I gather were more in search of a yesman.

Spurs are usually the ones hiring our relatively recent ex managers if the objective is to qualify for Europe and back playing well Poch can do that but I'd have my doubts on him coming in terms of competing for trophies.

Luis Enrique is quite a bombastic character, not unlike Conte. I don't think he'd last too long under the current setup (not that I approve of how the club's being run but that's another story).

Poch will have experienced a basketcase club from his time at PSG so he knows what he's getting into. I don't have much hope for the future (because of the general state of the club, nothing to do with Poch) so I'm not sure how this going to play out.

I just hope Poch can get some of these expensive flops to show some potential.

I think its a great appointment. Seriously over achieved with spurs and the club have clearly taken their time, so hopefully that means there are no surprises on either side.

So Lamps have lost 7 of his 9 matches. Last game against Newcastle who have already secured CL next year.

Any chance the players will give it a go for the last game?

Why bother, they haven't when it actually mattered, why start now when they could throw in another limp performance and ship 2 or 3 more goals

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,522 ✭✭✭Killinator

One more game and it's done, thank f**k for that!

Quite telling about our current position that it looks like we're going to lose Mount and Kovacic to CL teams in the same league.

I don't blame them and it's incredibly frustrating that for all the money the club has been tossing about, we are losing two of key players. I'd have rather give them bigger contracts instead of all we spent on transfer fees for 'potential'.

Especially so soon after Jorginho leaving too. Those 3 are a reasonably high quality midfield as a unit, all moved on within 6 months.

Mount might be a loss but Jorginho and Kov are past it in my option. Not bad options, but Kante was better than both of them when he was fit this season. He's a bigger loss I think
