I was hoping that by the end of August I would be sitting comfortably looking down the table, but it looks like I will be spending all September looking over my shoulder.

The two months is a decent run for your money, and all to play for still.

I didn't think we'd be running into any big postponement problems in the FPL monthly last man standing comp besides the normal winter weather issues, but Queen Elizabeth passing away has put paid to that idea!

Looks like it could be blank gameweeks and double gameweeks galore this season!

In terms of this competition, the bottom 2 players are due to be eliminated at the end of September. My sense is that next weekend's PL fixtures will probably not go ahead either, and if that is the case the 2 players currently bottom will be eliminated after fpl gameweek 8.

As more than 2 gameweeks have taken place in the August/September elimination period, there will be no extension granted of this elimination period.

This is set out in the rules at the start of this thread :

At least 2 gameweeks* must take place in the specified elimination period for players to eliminated as normal. If only 1 gameweek has taken place, we will add the scores to the following months tallies and also add more elimination places to the following month if necessary.

* A gameweek will be considered completed once more than 1 Premier League fixture is played.

So as things stand, Skreddy and I will be eliminated if FPL gameweek 8 is also postponed. Apologies Skreddy, it sucks, but I'll have to stick to the rules I've set out if that comes to pass.

It's an unfortunate way to settle things but reading some stuff, there seems to be hope of at least some games next week, and therefore a shot at playing for survival.

Some people saying no chance any games will go ahead and others saying a good chance of some games going ahead so we really are in the dark over what to think at the moment.

September done and we have our first eliminations.

My own team Calmwood MH finished rock bottom and well off the pace. Incredibly tight in the end for the other elimination spot, with only 2 points separating 3 teams. Kathleen Grant and Skreddy doing some mighty work to avoid the drop. mno101 the unlucky one to fall just short and be eliminated.

Just a couple of things to note as a bumper October fpl month kicks off.

There are only 17 players remaining in this competition (my team Calmwood MH are eliminated, so disregard their presence in league table).

2 players will be eliminated at the end of October.

It seems that as per usual the fpl site do not deduct transfer hits in the first gameweek of a month, when using the monthly table filter. So these hits will be accounted for manually at the end of each month.

February done, and 2 more fallers folks. There were a few transfer points hits taken at the start of February, but nothing that affects the bottom 2 placings overall.

Hard luck to liamoreilly and Mr Crispy. You fell just short before the business end of this competition really kicks in. Hopefully you pick up a few prizes in your other fpl leagues.

Looks like tie breaker will come into it this month. It was extremely close for the 2nd loser spot this month with only 3 points separating 5 teams.

Yep an incredibly tight month in March with 2 players level on points in the 2nd elimination spot and also a number of players finishing just a few points above them.

The 2 fallers at the end of March are Skreddy and mectavba. Hard luck to both players being eliminated so close to the business end of the competition and especially with the margins being so tight.

Just for clarification purposes, the first tiebreaker is total number of goals scored by your selected players in the month of March (gameweeks 26, 27, 28). Noted that all captain goals are worth 2, all triple captain goals are worth 3.

By my count, mectavba (Wheels Back Up) players scored 10 goals in total. Ros1234 (Rock Rovers) players scored 11 goals in total to win the tiebreak by the slimmest of margins.

As it's exceptionally tight and obviously I had to do a manual count for the tiebreaker, I hope both players check these scores and if there are any errors, they will be corrected.

I did a check on goals scored and I got the same as McBain, please double mectavba, extremely tight and feel blessed to the survived this month, wildcarding in GW26 hasn't exactly gone to plan, as always a really good league to be involved in.

Just 7 players remaining going into a bumper April fpl month, where there are 6 gameweeks in total.

Very important to note that there will be 3 eliminations at the end of April, leaving just 4 players remaining to battle it out in May for the prizes.

FYI, in terms of transfer points hits, 2 players took hits in the first week of April (gameweek 29) - AdpRo (The Craggy Islanders) and Scorpion Sting (Like Foden, Like Son).

It’s between myself and AdpRo for the last place as both of us took a hit at the start of the month which should be enough to see patmac through.

I’ve probably got a less than 5% chance of staying alive but you just never know!

I need Utd to score tonight! My worst error in 15 years playing the game could cost me.....bringing in TAA and forgetting to go back and move him off the bench for Schar. I would be way more confident of surviving if I had the extra 9 pts in the bag as well.
