Carty is a really poor 10. Farrell should be absolutely roasted for that. How can a professional player fvck up a 3 on 1. That is criminal.

loads of pressure from Connacht but Ulster going to take the first points.

Good catch on the swinging arm from Cooney tbf, don't like seeing that.

Its a pretty even contest so far, dont think there will be much in this at the end.

a game that the benches could decide the outcome.

Carty having a bit of a mare. Massive knock on there but Buckley turned it over.

Good turnover in the end but christ almighty Carty is having a nightmare.

Finn Russell from wish is having a torid time, but thats nothing new.

If Ulster left the pitch, Connacht would find a way to mess it up and not score. Ulster have been pretty poor, are probably wondering how they’re not behind in this game.

Don't think that was a penalty at all for Ulster? Looked like the Connacht player held his line and Cooney ran into him.

Lots of mistakes from both sides but Carty

That's two Prendergasts that have a decent boot.

Great kick from Prendergast and super breakdown work on Balacoune.

Connacht better start making this count on the scoreboard though, Ulster will wake up eventually.

Prendergast is a great player, always enjoyable watching him play.

Jack is a major liability at this stage.

There's something remarkably unlikeable about James Hume.

Apart from his two goal kicks, Carty has pretty much done everything badly.

If Connacht had even competent 10 play here they’d probably be 10+ points up.

    Jack again ffs.

Must have thrown a few pound on Ulster or something.

    Carty is unbelievably poor.

Off an attacking and dominant scrum in the ulster 22 a double dose of carthy has connacht defending a lineout just outside their own 22.

Connacht lucky there, that clear out should have been a pen.

Brace should have issued the yellow there for the backchat though, he's warned about multiple times.

Connacht 2 lucky there I’d say.

Connacht good value for the lead, but definitely left at least a try out there.

I think they'll regret that because theres no way Ulster will be as poor in the second half.

I bet after Brace chirping all first half to Ulster about how the next one is a yellow/stop the backchat, it'll be Connacht who get the first yellow. (Frank) Murphys Law.

Connacht deserve their lead, and it could and should have been more.

Ulster poor, cant get the ball moving, cant put phases together, very little territory and coughing up line breaks.

Long way to go in this yet.

Ulster are definitely rattled. Connacht not really allowing them into the game. You’d fear that Connacht have left at least 10 points behind them though. And Ulster will eventually get a purple patch.

Connacht should be 10-15 ahead. Ulster will eventually sort themselves out and win. Been very poor tonight though.

Very good half for us, but probably not far ahead enough considering our dominance in the collisions. Real breakout performance from SHL but the pack as a whole have been excellent. Jack hasn't been great unfortunately and the backline are a bit sloppy in terms of running lines and passing. The Tom Farrell non pass was unforgivable. Conor Oliver a very lucky boy, that was a nasty clear out.
