    Have 2 FTs.

March out, not sure I want to bring in another Brighton midfielder though.

I might bring in Wilson for Darwin.

Only the 1 Brighton, 1 Newcastle and 1 transfer, rode my luck today. Andreas to MacAllistair and whatever Newcastle striker starts if we get any leaks. Was set on Steale for a -8 but not sure he will keep his place and may stick with Kepa instead.

Moved already to use my two free transfers to bring in Salah and Xhaka for Gakpo and Grealish.

  • Registered Users Posts: 925 ✭✭✭rekluse

Anyone else thinking of a double up on wilson and Isak? Need to bin Martial ( don't ask!) And not many strikers in my price range are appealing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,685 ✭✭✭sheroman01

2FTs. March injury means I can keep Martinelli now. More than likely March>Fernandes, and Watkins>Greenwood. Maybe in DGW37 I'll consider MacAllister but I think Mitoma+Estupinan is probably enough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Maybe wait till sat morning to see if any news - if you found out only one was starting - would you still get both?

Leeds under Big Sam will probably be a lot more compact, so might not be as many chances.

I've 2 FTs. I feel like I might have to get rid of Steele as I'm not convinced De Zerbi will keep faith with him after that performance. Sanchez did well in the FA Cup too. Already have Mitoma and Mac Allister, so I'm considering Watkins and Steele out for Ferguson and some keeper such as Ederson. Maybe Pope but I've already got Botman and Trippier which seems plenty from that defence.

Really undecided this week. Can’t afford March to Mac so I’m considering either March to Willock for free or else March to Mac and Toney to Wilson for a -4.

    I already own Isak.

Any advice? If I could be guaranteed even 3 starts between Wilson and Isak over the 2 games I’d do it but they may just rotate and not be on the pitch together at all.

This issue also makes captain very tricky. Think I might captain Trippier due to his guaranteed minutes and that’ll cover off the double defence a lot will have. While having the 2 strikers should cover off the people captaining Isak. Just that’s all a bit conservative maybe.

The March injury has thrown a bit of a spanner in the works, but tbh this Brighton DGW is a tough one, so it doesn't make me desperate to replace him with another doubler. I might instead switch to someone who doubles in DGW 37, so I'm not losing a game overall. Will require 2 transfers, but I have 2 FT.

It's also a benching headache this GW, so having one less doubler to cloud that judgement is not exactly a bad thing.

Thinking something similar myself, Watkins gone off the boil but little options at his price so getting Ferguson would allow upgrade of Steele to Ederson

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,450 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Was set to get Estupinan in but after that performance the manager might go wholesale changes. Not an easy DGW anyway. The Brighton DGW's might be fools gold at this stage, all tricky fixtures bar SOU.

After an appalling, terrible, no-good week, I had to take a -4 to swop March out for Mac.

What I think I'm playing this week is:

    Alisson

    Estupinan - Trippier - Stones

    Mac - Groß - Rashford - Salah

    Haaland(C?) Isak Wilson

    Bench: Raya, Grealish, Dalot, Konate

I usually choose form over fixture, but Dalot (5.2) is beating Trippier (1.6), and it's a DGW, so anything could happen.

Captain choice is going to be very difficult as well this week.

If your playing Alisson you must fancy pool for a CS - so why bench Konate? Depending on how West Ham get on this week, they may have a weaken team out v Brentford, so playing Raya might be better option, otherwise feel like you have to play Konate.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but would you play Tripper if it was a single GW - probably not - when was the last time Newcastle kept a CS? Your kinda hedging your bets with newcastle/brighton defense but then going all out offensive with Mac/Grob/Isak and Wilson

Based on from of City, i'd probably play Grealish over Rashford as United/rashford looked terrible in last two games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

In Man Utd's last 10 league games, Rashford has scored 2 goals. Granted, he only played 9, but he is not scoring. If it wasn't for the DGW, I would transfer him out.

I sold him around 24/25 whenever the blank is, and it was a good decision to do so as he blank in 26. Took a -4 to bring him back in 27 and there was no need to as he is not essential at the moment. Others have scored much better in the same time frame.

is his purple patch of Christmas -> February finished?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Yea I brought him back in for that last DGW where there was hype and must have - I’m very tempted to transfer him out to raise funds for elsewhere and if he does tick bring him back in for GW37.

  • Registered Users Posts: 927 ✭✭✭JPup

Look at his record at Old Trafford. Still pretty good. Like the whole United squad, his away form has fallen off a cliff but with 3 home games left I'd be keeping him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,685 ✭✭✭sheroman01

What are people's thoughts on bringing in Fernandes? United out of form, but have 3/4 home games, nice fixtures and have something to play for.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,733 ✭✭✭Cartman78

    Grealish to Willian....

Someone tell me that's not as bonkers as it looks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,015 ✭✭✭Mr Crispy

Contemplating a punt on Joelinton meself. Will have to get rid of one of my NUFC defenders to enable it, but have 2 FTs to play with.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,303 ✭✭✭COH

Weird gameweek... am considering transfering out a keeper with a dgw for a -4!

  • Registered Users Posts: 925 ✭✭✭rekluse

Yeah cheers hadn't considered early team news. Maybe a punt on someone like Murphy might be a better option.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,815 ✭✭✭bantee

2 FTs so thinking March & Havertz (don't ask) to MacAllister & Ferguson, and then possibly Salah to De Bruyne next week. Don't like losing Salah though for the run in so will think that one over a bit more next week.

Have Trippier, Botman and Isak already so will leave the Newcastle assets as is.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,685 ✭✭✭sheroman01

Hmmmm, I'm now thinking Watkins+Botman to Wilson+Patterson(bench fodder). Have 2FTs. It does mean taking a -4 next week for Bruno though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 696 ✭✭✭Newbie20

    I did similar,

    Watkins and Botman to

    Wilson and Dalot

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,685 ✭✭✭sheroman01

Should have stated that yeah I have Isak as well. I do question how many minutes Wilson will get, but it seems like a fun transfer to end the season with.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,719 ✭✭✭dr.kenneth noisewater

Yeah its something I was thinking of doing myself as struggling to pick a starting 11 so this move would allow me start TAA

  • Registered Users Posts: 727 ✭✭✭slimshady007

The Wilson call is so tricky to work out. The fact him and Isak both started last week and they lost has me opting against it as I have Isak and believe he's the number 1. Its either going to MacAlister and Wilson or Joelinton and Ferguson. Leaning towards the latter at the minute.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,685 ✭✭✭sheroman01

You'd still imagine 30 mins in one game, and perhaps 60 in other. You're almost guaranteed a full match of Wilson in great form. (I'm trying to convince myself here too!).

I have the Wilson/Isak double up.... given how bad my season has gone its almost certain to go badly so would recommend nobody follow my lead

  • Registered Users Posts: 696 ✭✭✭Newbie20

Yes brought in Isak in the last Gameweek because I had 2 FTs to use and brought in Wilson for this week. Gonna captain Wilson, it feels a bit risky but more fun!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,744 ✭✭✭Bleating Lamb

Have 2 FT’s so tempted to use one as will go to waste otherwise……am thinking Grealish out for Mahrez as can’t see Grealish playing v Everton and Pep will be minding him if they get through v Madrid.

Mahrez is in great form the last few games.

Salah,Mitoma,Rashford,Grealish,Joelinton my current midfield for this GW.

Anyone else with Grealish thinking of getting rid?

  • Registered Users Posts: 696 ✭✭✭Newbie20

Did this last week, Grealish to Mahrez. Not sure what to do now though, it’s Mahrez vs Rashford for one spot because all my other midfielders and forwards have 2 games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,733 ✭✭✭Cartman78

Yeah... saying cheerio to Grealish alright.

Getting Mahrez in I think now, along with Ferguson in for Watkins for a hit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Let's say Madrid win the 2nd leg, then the likes of Grealish could be very valuable in GW37 when they have a DGW. You should have some sort of bench player than can sub in for him this week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,450 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Yeah i'm benching Grealish this week in the hope he gets a run for the DGW, City will still have plenty to play for in the league

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,843 ✭✭✭MacDanger

With the European game last night and another one on Thurs, are West Ham likely to rest any players this weekend?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,315 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

    Swapping Watkins to Isak.

6 doublers but March injured. Don't fancy a hit to get him out.

Brought in Ferguson 2 weeks ago and have him for the DGW, might be a nice differential if he plays.

Half tempted to (C) him but think Isak the safer bet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

They are basically safe in the league. They are unable to finish in the top half.

All of their eggs should be in the Europe basket IMO but I think we'll see a half rotated side. Ings can start, Fornals, maybe switch up the full backs etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

sounds like both can start upfront again. Well, both start anyways. Might be Wilson central & Isak on the left.

Rashford a big doubt for tomorrows game due to a leg injury according to Ten Hag

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,064 ✭✭✭chases0102

If you were bringing a Newcastle mid for March, would you go for Willock or Murphy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,314 ✭✭✭✭gammygils

MAN UTD | Erik Ten Hag has revealed Marcus Rashford is a doubt for GW36.

"Rashford is doubtful. He has a problem, so an injury on his leg. He's a big question mark. More than doubtful, a big question mark."

    #FPL | #MUFC 👹

FS I planned to bank this week and have 2 FTS for next week. And now this.

    Fux things right up

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,685 ✭✭✭sheroman01

Rashford and March out for me now. Can't even sub Chilwell in for his one good fixture, as he's injured too. Fcuk sake. Could stick to my main plan of Botman out and Watkins>Wilson. It does mean that whatever 4.1m defender I bring in is gonna start this weekend! Can't bring in Lindelof as I have Shaw, Rashford and will bring Bruno in eventually. Thinking of Kiwior (4m) for Arsenal. Hopefully he starts though!

Is Bruno now a less attractive option if Rashford is out I wonder? Might be a better option...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,695 ✭✭✭Flaneur OBrien

I had Rashford on the bench, just hope he's back for their DGW.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,806 ✭✭✭q2ice

Am on a wildcard this week with the aim to bench boost the week after.

Any thoughts ony team would be extremely welcome...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,806 ✭✭✭q2ice

Since posting that I swapped out Raya for Leno. Tough matches remaining for Brentford.

Not the first change and likely not the last.

    🤣🤣🤣

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,719 ✭✭✭dr.kenneth noisewater

Willock for me, always looks threatening from games I've seen

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

I don't think that KDB plays this GW, he looked wrecked at the end of the Madrid game and he missed a few recently. I think he plays Madrid and then 120 mins of the double instead.

Maybe use Salah/Gakpo this GW and then switch to KDB for the DGW instead? Or another MID that will play and could score. Chance a Mahrez/Foden?

I would suggest Bruno but Man Utd are not scoring goals reflective of their league position (2nd lowest scorers in the top half) and the Wolves fixture is traditionally very low scoring.

Maybe Odegaard but you already have Martinelli

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

I have 3 flags myself, but have 2 FTs so I'm somewhat covered. It's very dangerous to go into this sort of GW will just 1 players, especially when Pep might rotate heavily and then I could end with 9 starters and a cameo.

I'm fairly set on switching out March, possibly to Foden/Mahrez which will set me up for DGW37 hopefully.

Rashford/Zinchenko have varying flags. Zinchenko more of a cash cow but not sure how much I can risk burning a transfer on when there are only 3 GWs to go and DEFs are a bit of a waste when end of seasons are usually when you get a lack of clean sheets, especially the last day. Who could I replace Rashford with though, that doubles (in 36 or 37) that is not Brighton/Newcastle? Which leads me to think I have to switch Zinchenko our and see if Rashford recovers for DGW37 and also recovers his big downturn in form.
