Soccer forum ban still not lifted - weeks - late March - now May - technical issue/oversight/ploy?

It was a two week ban back in late March - it is now May time of writing - I actually had forgotten about it.

I sent a message to the mod in question DM_7 no reply.

I noticed I am not the first person that this has happened to as other posters had similar issues. The cynic in me thinks this might be a deliberate ploy by the moderators of the forum to keep it in check/control - 'we don't like your kind in here' - 'not tonight' - 'regulars (we like) only'. Or is it designed to make posters grovel to get back in?

Or is it a completely innocent technical issue where the poster is not reinstated automatically?

The ban reason isn't being disputed, and the ban period has been served. This is either a technical issue, or the soccer mods haven't restored access to the Soccer Group.

Then the Cynic in you would be wrong, as posters are indeed not reinstated automaticlly.

Under the previous version of Boards, a poster was Automatically reinstated to the Soccer Forum following a Ban, by the System.

As Soccer is now a 'Group', following a Ban, a poster must ask for access to be returned in the thread below.

Any poster looking for Access to the Soccer Forum for a first time, or since the migration, must do the same.
