Combo box for elderly

What’s the best combo box to get for an elderly person something where it’s all on the remote 1 is RTÉ one and maybe four is bbc one etc

there oint a lot one option is to get a tv with freeview hd and freesat hd

enigma2 combo boxes can combine saorview and free to air epg's.

I bought this set for my elderly in-laws.

Switch off all other inputs to the TV except the one HDMI connection you are using, then all the channels can be programmed any way you want, eg

press 1 for RTE1,

press 2 for RTÉ2,

4 for BBC1 etc, etc. Very easy to explain and for them to use.

Really?? I happen to be in my early 70s (elderly😀) and own 2 ZGemma boxes which I manage quite well-sometimes by trial and error or use of the great help on this forum. .so they are not for everyone old or young if u struggle with modern technology generally-age really has nothing to do with it.

Yes in this case as the original poster was looking for something that would work simply and not be complicated and as you know enigma 2 can be complicated at times. i used enigma 2 for years but switched to other easier options myself

I'm in my 70's and have been using enigma2 boxes for years, for sheer versatility and ease of use they can't be beaten.

its good if you like it and use it but for anybody coming into it new its certainly a learning curve . especially when u get crashing bluescreens etc .

so that is why id suggest a tv wirh freesat and freeview or a tv with saorview and a freesat box connected
