UK Registered Tesla Model 3 Cheaper?

With used Model 3's €10,000 cheaper on the UK Tesla site than here, is it cheaper to get one over there?

What am I looking at with regards to import duties and other costs?

Mainly VAT.

same as any other car from the uk at the moment. Should be VRT exempt depending on the model.

The Windsor agreement is to come onto effect for NI exporters around now.

From my understanding NI exporters can claim UK VAT back and then obviously the Irish VAT to go on

If I remember correctly August is date for similar for irish dealers?

If these cars are very low VRT and insured no NOx.

Would this just leave Customs charge?

Yes rumours but nothing official yet.

Id be waiting until then if considering a uk car.

Right now you have to pay 23% VAT and 10% customs charge. As well as freight costs, customs clearance, tax, nct.

Who mentioned anything about ‘people’? Only VAT registered traders will be able to use the scheme.

I did. The hope is that private importers can bring a car into Ireland and hopefully not have to pay the vat element.

Ah, okay. Well theres no sign of that happening for the foreseeable. Only VAT registered traders for now.
