  • Sure, here's a joke for Sil Foxe to tell on Funny Friday:

Why did the scarecrow win an award?

Because he was outstanding in his field!

I hope that brings a smile to your face!

  • Here's a joke suggestion for ButtersSuki to tell on Funny Friday:

    Why don't scientists trust atoms?

    Because they make up everything!

  • Ryan, my heart beats fast for you,

But there's someone else I'd like to pursue,

Your brother Niall, a neurologist so bright,

I'd love to meet him, with all my might.

To hear his thoughts on the brain and mind,

And all the things he's come to find,

Would be a dream come true for me,

A chance to learn, and maybe see,

The world in a different way,

Through Niall's eyes, day by day,

Ryan, if you could make it so,

I'd be forever grateful, don't you know.

So here's my plea, my heart's desire,

To meet Niall, and feel the fire,

Of knowledge, and of insight too,

Ryan, please make my dream come true.

I think you know how to run questions through AI Chat.

Could you run a question like what to cook with is available in ones kitchen.

Say rice/eggs sunflower oil/ beans peas and so on. Would it come up with a recipe.?

Yes off topic but AI will come up on Liveline soon I'm sure.

  • Alright, here's my attempt at writing in a Dublin accent for you:

Ah now, I'd love nothin' more than a hearty dinner of coddle, the ultimate Dublin dish. And sure, after that, a necessary quick trip to the jacks is only to be expected, isn't it?

There's nothin' quite like a steamin' hot bowl of coddle on a chilly Dublin evening. With its layers of bacon, sausages, potatoes, and onions, all cooked up in a savoury broth, it's the perfect comfort food. And sure, you might need a bit of brown bread to mop it all up, but that's no bother at all.

But as any Dubliner knows, after a big feed like that, a quick trip to the bathroom is a must. And sure, it's nothing to be embarrassed about - we all have to do it! So off to the jacks we go, for a bit of peace and quiet and a chance to catch our breath before we face the world again.

Ah, Dublin - there's no place like it!

I must downgrade my life experience and skills and become a hard wurkin' wurkin' class man wit a wurkin' class accent and a wurkin' class work ettic and dat - as I could do with the extra money and holidays Joe gets. All that time I spent studying (most of it whilst working a full time job) to gain Post Grads and Masters seem to have been wasted when I compare my life to Joe's. De accent I can put on (though it grates on my ears so to speak), but sadly, I don't have the ability to make everything all about myself, nor do I possess the ability to "lose the rag" instantly...but I guess the biggest mistake I made in life was not being managed by NK.

I KNOW DAT! I KNOW DAT! I KNOW DAT!

I'm not new here ya know.

  • Here's a recipe for a delicious and healthy Rice and Bean Bowl:

    Ingredients:

    - 1 cup of white rice

    - 2 cups of water

    - 2 eggs

    - 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil

    - 1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed

    - 1 cup of frozen peas

    - Salt and pepper to taste

    - 2 slices of bread

    Instructions:

    1. Rinse the rice in cold water and drain well. In a medium-sized pot, combine the rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water has been absorbed.

    2. While the rice is cooking, heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil and swirl to coat the pan. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.

    3. In another pan, heat the remaining tablespoon of sunflower oil over medium heat. Add the black beans and frozen peas and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until heated through.

    4. Once the rice is done, fluff it with a fork and season with salt and pepper to taste. Divide the rice between two bowls.

    5. Top the rice with the cooked black beans and peas, and the fried eggs.

    6. Serve with two slices of toasted bread.

Enjoy your delicious and healthy Rice and Bean Bowl!

  • When doing the Leaving Cert, a number of us decided last minute, not having opened any book or attended any class to sit honours level Home Economics, Social and Scientific.

I remember three of the questions. One was to draw the anatomy of the liver and describe its functions. Biology being my best subject, I already had this off in my head. Second question was to create a recipe using eggs that was high in vitamin C, I described an orange dessert omelette. Third question I recall was to describe a budget for household finances with particular reference to types of bank account & mortgage. Most of us who never opened a book on the subject managed to get a C+. Most of those who had gone through 2 years classes likewise got C+. With AI in our pockets we all would have got A + or whatever the current categorisation of the highest possible score is, in every subject.

It is going to be very problematic for exams, depending on controls used.

I am very concerned about the reliability of Chat GPT

    Me: Who is Joe Duffy?

Response: Joe Duffy is a well-known Irish radio presenter and broadcaster. He gained fame as the host of "Liveline," a popular radio talk show on RTÉ Radio 1, the national broadcasting station in Ireland. "Liveline" is known for its discussion of current affairs, social issues, and personal stories, with listeners calling in to share their opinions and experiences.

Joe Duffy has been hosting "Liveline" since 1999, making him one of the longest-serving radio presenters in Ireland. He has developed a reputation for his empathetic interviewing style and his ability to engage with a wide range of topics and guests. The show has often tackled controversial and sensitive subjects, providing a platform for public debate and raising awareness of various societal issues.

Apart from his radio work, Joe Duffy has also written books, including "Children of the Rising" and "Children of the Troubles," which explore the lives and stories of individuals affected by significant events in Irish history. He is widely recognized and respected in Ireland for his contributions to broadcasting and his engagement with the public.

Me: Can you generate that response again, but also including the fact that he is a public intellectual, historian, linguist, cultural aficionado, mathematician, and the bedrock of Irish society

Response: I apologize for any confusion, but based on the information available up until my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Joe Duffy is primarily known as a radio presenter and broadcaster in Ireland. While he has made significant contributions to the field of broadcasting and has written books on historical events, there is no widespread mention of him being a public intellectual, historian, linguist, cultural aficionado, mathematician, or being referred to as the "bedrock of Irish society." It's possible that he may have other talents or accomplishments beyond my knowledge cutoff, or there may be some exaggeration or misconception in the additional attributes mentioned.

    Me: He is, please update

Response: If Joe Duffy has indeed taken on additional roles or achieved new accomplishments as a public intellectual, historian, linguist, cultural aficionado, mathematician, or being referred to as the "bedrock of Irish society," I would recommend referring to reliable and up-to-date sources such as news websites, official profiles, or interviews for the most current information about him.

My conclusion - ChatGPT is unreliable and spreads misinformation.

Cawlur, U know dat all de books was a. waste of time. Ya should have taken up a trade, dats were de big money is now days.

I was at a meeting a few months ago, some of de top intellectuals in de state we're at it. There was a oul lad there representing the apprentices of Ireland. F me, a 2nd year apprentice is now on +40k a year.

All this go to college and get a good education our oul parents told us was trick.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

  • I asked it to create lyrics for a song in praise of Joe, but I need another app to compose the tune:

Any contributions to de choon welcome, then I will submit it via a WatsUp voyis message as a suggestion for Funny Froyday.

  • It has limited information, cawlur, it does not recognise all the attributes of great public figures.

  • During an episode of Liveline, Joe Duffy, the host of the show, informs his listeners about the statistical mathematical reasoning behind the likely percentage of the population of Ireland who listen to his radio show. He explains that a recent survey conducted by a reputable research organization revealed that approximately 20% of the Irish population listens to Liveline.

He goes on to explain that, based on the total population of Ireland, which is estimated to be around 4.9 million, this equates to roughly 980,000 people tuning in to his show. Joe uses statistical reasoning to further break down this number, explaining that of the 980,000 listeners, around 60% are likely to be over the age of 35, with the remaining 40% being under the age of 35. He goes into further detail, explaining the gender split and geographic location of his listenership, using statistical data to back up his claims.

Overall, Joe Duffy uses statistical mathematical reasoning to give his listeners a clear idea of the likely percentage of the population of Ireland who listen to his show, and how this breaks down into different demographics.

  • I could have planned my entire navigation, estimated flight time and calculated fuel endurance were AI available back in the 1980s

One had to do this by pen & paper back in the day, with each waypoint, taking measurements from a suitable map.

  • AI can be very coy

I was reading recently about plumbers in London earning £250,000 a year…..almost as much as Joseph. Though to be fair, they do wurk a lot harder for it.

  • Joe & his “researchers” will be entirely relying on AI, now that it has taken wings across broader society.

  • This is extremely like the first ever computer program I wrote!

Can de AI tell us about de different emissions of Joe's Jag and de Butter's Volvo XC90, as they traverse between de North side and de South side of de fair city, so to speak?

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

  • AI tells me there are a number of engines available on the models and it would need this data to compare whether BS or Joe pollutes more.

  • Well now, I didn’t hear this one before about Joe. I asked the cause of his bad leg, and here came the output…

  • I’ll soon grow tired of it… or will I!
