    Presale

If you're getting seats it's probably worth checking both links, they often have different allocations so one may have better seats than the other

Got one of the cheap seats in Block G

Tbh view should be decent enough, can always try my luck and move if not ha

Got a presale seat in Block E, came in at 120 quid all in.

I wasn't sure I'd ever get the chance to see him again.

He put on a hell of a show last time (2018?) to a packed and enthusiastic audience.

I found Steve Miller to be slightly bland that night tbh, although he does have some classic tunes (and Les Paul was his godfather!)

Anyway, legendary artists like Fogerty won't be around for much longer so really looking forward to this one.

Sweet, just got 2 standing tickets (around €100 each), not sure if there was any need to be standing at this kind of gig but wasn't overly keen on the seats what were available in the pre sale.

As mentioned above, the man is a living legend and not too many opportunities like this arise.

The craic with his kids the last time was shite.

Standing section appears smaller than usual? Should be a great gig.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,804 ✭✭✭delbertgrady

It's the small standing area configuration, with tiered seats down to the floor.

They had the same setup the last time he played.

Just looked up the gigography and it seems they've never played Ireland, only the John Fogerty gig in 2017 and the one up coming.

Got one of the cheap seats in Block G row 7 in the last block. I'm guessing I won't see the big screen ??

Was in Block A for Rod Stewart last November and the view was very good. Took this pic

I was looking at the back of one of CCR complete hits compilation.

They had an amazing run in two years in 1969 and 1970

They had four albums that made the top 5 in the States.

They had five singles that reached Number 2 (including two A sides) and 2 other A sides that made the top 5 in the US charts in those years, yet never had a Number 1.

They had one more top 10 in 1971, and that was basically it. The band imploded the following year and never reformed.

    Fogerty was brilliant but "difficult"

Still I've no doubt, it'll be a great show. Some catalogue of tunes.

They were already imploding by the time of that concert tour in 1971. Tom Fogerty had bailed out and while they did the tour as a trio John's relationship with Cook and Clifford was fractious to say the least. There's a good documentary about the group on Netflix.

Any standing tickets left for this, or am I just going to the wrong part of the ticketmaster site?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1 killianae3

If anyone has a spare standing ticket available I'd gladly pay them for it. I want to go with my brother but he was away when the tickets went on sale an missed getting at standing ticket with me. I'd really really like to get him one!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,484 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Cheaped out and got a 'cheap seat' (Block G row 7)

What are the chances of getting an upgrade on the night ?, i know if i do it on Ticketmaster i might get a refund on my oringal ticket

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,751 ✭✭✭ec18

am i being stupid on the ticketmaster site or is it only platinum priced tickets left?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 714 ✭✭✭Stewball

What's the best way of re-selling a single seated ticket?

Looks like I'm not going to be able to make it.

I see loads of regular tickets, (70.50 euro) seating ... make sure you haven't got the filter on for platinum only. Also, I'm using the Android app.

Toutless is great, a solid community and reliable. Granted I'm not sure what the demand is like for this one.

There was shed loads of tickets left when they went on sale and yet Ticketmaster / Live Nation weighed in with platinum market driven priced tickets. Absolute gougers who are sucking the life outta fun!

I love CCR and Fogerty, absolute rock and roll hero! The platinum priced **** makes me sick though!

Bruce Tonight made me more excited for this gig now if that's possible ha

Two legends running down the clock. They don't make them like this anymore!

I enjoyed Fogerty a couple years back in the 3 arena... Having the family in the band I'm sure is a fun set up for him and them... Not overly sure how much it benefits the music though. I would have liked to see Kenny Aronoff smash the bejesus outta the kit, instead we got some Fogerty family time.

    Block A, Row 5.

I paid €109 with booking fees. I listed it on Ticketmaster's re-sale portal for €100.

EDIT - I just changed the price to €80.

I didn't realise the buyer would have to pay service fees on top of the €100

    Only a week to go

Gig selling a lot better than expected with the upper tiers opened up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,027 ✭✭✭Peter File

Try toutless.com you should get a buyer there and avoid Ticketmaster fees

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 714 ✭✭✭Stewball

It sold on Ticketmaster for €80 - with fees the buyer probably paid about €95ish total.

Handy service - but the fees are a bit extortionate.

I'd like to know that too so I can plan my trip in. Not sure whether to drive in and park or get the dreaded Red Line!

Looking forward to the gig tonight. Pity it's not a better support act but the main man will sound amazing. Hoping he keeps 'Run Through The Jungle' in the setlist

Unpopular opinion but dislike 'Proud Mary' with a passion. Prob more to do with Tina Turners version and that stupid Rock the boat dance

Going to watch the Netflix doc on the way up to get in the mood

Well, he kept us waiting (9.30pm when he hit the stage) but from then it was just hit after hit, classic after classic.

Great show, great audience and I really enjoyed it.

    Creedence were some band!

Really enjoyed it, some man for 77 years of age.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,484 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Rip Tina Tuner who famously done a version of 'Proud Mary'

How many times did he mention about 'having his songs back' last night. He must have them back years at this stage. Would of preferred 'Susie Q' over the cheesy tribute to his misses. Great to hear 'Rocking All Over The World' (always thought Status Quo wrote it. Songs of the night for me was 'Looking Out My Backdoor

How much were the signed LPs they had for sale?

    CPL 593H

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 64 ✭✭mcdonut

€280 for a signed album or a signed poster. It was also about €40 ish for John Fogerty World Tour 2022 t shirt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,091 ✭✭✭furiousox

    Yikes!

I thought it was 200 for a signed vinyl which I thought was steep but I was thinking afterwards maybe I should have grabbed one.

280 is taking the pi$$ though, couldn't hand over that much.

Looks like he's only properly had the rights back since January this year: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-64270913

Great gig, glad I saw him since you have to imagine it'll be the last time he plays here. One of those gigs where you don't have to be a huge fan and still very familiar with majority of the songs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 47 dublingreen

Decent gig and fairly solid setlist, seems he included cotton fields and Lodi in Manchester last night, I'd love to have heard those 2.
