Best Phonewatch replacement.

After discovering that there was a fault with my phonewatch system that went undetected for two months and I was unaware that I had signed a 12 month renewal 20 years ago, I am quitting phonewatch. Can anybody recommend a better alternative ? I heard that ESB have an offering ?

Personally I would go with a HKC system. Very reliable and very easy to use, I have my system in about 4 yrs now and no issues. The monitoring is about €70 per annum.

The domestic market is really down the toilet at this stage . Glad to be out of it.

The domestic market is really gone crazy . Companies out there nowadays just want quick books with the wireless market. Over half of these have no interest in doing a repair, some wouldn't have a clue about some of the older systems what we're on the market weather anolog or LCD. Some clients don't even do their home work, just take some of the crazy quotes they have been giving. A lot of installers can't even unlock panels and will do a panel upgrade.

And it's only hointo get worse.. coming down the line is Google and Amazon who will happily give you a free alarm in exchange for your data.
