    I think it is/was, RTE underwrote the so called barter payment so paid the dosh when the sponsor pulled out!

    I had to laugh when many times Tubs was referred to as "Mr Tubridy" - you could sense the rank and file RTE heads are livid at this. They were getting strong armed into salary cuts and job losses by RTE (playing the poor mouth) when they were stuffing Tubridy's bank account
