No record partition

Hi folks. I bought a Revez combo box and I'm trying to connect my Samsung SSD but I keep receiving the above error. When I go into the media player, there is an option to format but nothing happens if I press the button. If I disconnect the drive, the system acknowledges its removal but when i plug it in, nothing happens. Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

I would say the USB power on the Combo Box is not capable of powering it up properly.

I've seen similar with TV's and other set top boxes where they only seem to be able to cope with USB sticks that use little power.

Not too sure if theres other options. I have a Google Chromecast and a Fire stick, both work via the hdmi and usb on the TV but in the case of my TV there's not enough power from the usb so I've to use the mains adaptor that comes with them.

Have a feeling you might be out of luck - my t5 is also not recognized on TV's ( Samsung, Hitachi )

Wonder if it being not SATA could have effect or this series drive specific.

Any SATA and even M.2 enclosure is recognized no problem.

Not excluding power lack version - didnt bother to test with external supply, but SSD's should'n be power hungry vs HDD's. Might be this one is...

Other possible things to check:

Original/good cable - some CHN knock off migt be just for power/charging, no data.

Drive is not encrypted.

Is it a ase of repartitioning the HDD, I had a similar issue some time ago, the tv would recognise the HDD but had no space to record. I can't remember how I did it but there are YouTube videos on the issue.

+1. The fact it's saying that 'no record partition' suggests to me that it's seeing the disk but just not seeing any usable partitions on it.

Could be, but could be just generic message saying like " no media detected" , as it say on my TV's. OP state formating disk attempt failing...
