Three Wireless Broadband

Anyone have much experience with three wireless broadband. I signed up after moving into a new house and finding there was no wired broadband connection in place and no lead time on the works to be carried out. I'm in a housing estate so not in the middle of nowhere yet the speed is ridiculously slow. The best I can get is a download speed of 7.9 mbps. Can I quit the contract without penalty....the speeds are nowhere near good enough for supposed high speed broadband

Would you not be better with fibre broadband if it's available in your area. More reliable then wireless mobile broadband.

Blue network indicator means 3G or 4G, 5G would be white LED, you are potentially in poor coverage , locate nearest mast on comreg siteviewer, move router to room/window that direction. If it helps, move even to the attick.

There is script that allow you to expose hidden menus on this ZTE, allow you to force specific bands, that might help. Google it

This router can take externa antennas, subforum "Midband" has good few threads worth to read.

How long you in contract? How did you signed?

Online purchase has 14d cool off

Also, three might missold you router, in some instances they sell ZTE MC7010 (external router, require installer to call out). Reach out to three.

It's a new build....there was no broadband connection and virgin wouldn't give us a lead time on the works to be carried out. We were kind of desperate to get something in so the kids could watch Disney and netflix.

not hectic speeds but out in the stick with no alternative it's the best available

I just got Three 5G Broadband. My switch was messed up and then i was told no ports left. So i got that ZTE router(no outdoor aerial) and its working quite well Im in an apartment Dublin 3 but have 5g. Download speeds at peak are about 120mb and upload at 30mb. Off peak when i get up is 350mb downloand and 50mb upload. I have Three mobile so i tested that first but the router seems faster than my S23. There is a 30 day cooling off period.
